Yep, passport number, and pay it in cash and in reais, depending on the day's dollar price. Must be at a Citibank.

Yea, it's pretty simple. My husband took his passport and told the cashier what he wanted. It was funny becaue the guy in front of us was doing the same thing.

There are no Citibanks in Manaus, so hubby had to wait 'til he got to Rio.

Does anyone know if the Citibank in Rio de Janeiro is near the embassy, or near some hotel (near the embassy)??

I think I will need to go the morning before the interview for to pay this there as I don´t have Citibank here in my city.

Thanks

Ali

Near the embassy there should be one, near Cinelândia, on Ave. Rio Branco, 245.

There's also one at Rua da Assembléia, a few blocks away.

I took a bus to Curitiba, went to the Citibank and back. I was lucky I did that cuz the week I was in Rio for the interview the banks were em greve. I think it's crazy to do that a day before. You might not have problems, but banks in Brazil are not exactly trustworthy.

That's true.

Yet my husband paid for the fee the day before because we got into Rio SUPER early on Friday and he still had his medical to do. The fee had to wait until the following Monday (interview was on Tuesday).

We went to a bank in Botafogo (where we were staying).
