I would say sinus infx too, but if you're saying this happened in a period of overnight and it started hurting like that, you might want to make sure nothing has crawled up there... not trying to freak you out or anything, but sometimes severe pain suddenly, usually in the ear or nasal cavaties, can be contributed to a foreign object (like a bug).. which can turn into an infection if not treated...

Good luck

That thought cross my mind. I remember this HS coach who had a fungal infection in his sinuses ...got into his bone...he lost his right eye from it. :( But he was asthmatic and took a lot of steroids.

Ill throw in my $.02 as well: Sounds like sinus cooties. I get them from time to time, just on one side by my schnoz and they hurt like a MF. By the by, if you feel dizzy, dont go to work. I did this one time with a sinus infection because I thought it would clear up w/some OTC meds and I wound up passing out at work and konking my head on the desk. Believe me, missing a day of work for a sinus infection is INFINITELY less embarrassing than being hauled away from your new job in an ambulance in front of 400 people.

You said you were going to go to the Doctor this morning. Did you go?

They have an advice nurse on the phone and she said it sounds like my sinuses. I'm going in tomorrow morning. The pain is strange because it's so local - on the bone itself and only one side in confined area...like a boil that hasn't surfaced.

Inflammation of the ethmoid sinuses can cause pain around and between your eyes and the sides of your nose. When I had sinusitis the pain was in my head....the pain was so bad I thought something was going to explode in there  ....

But I personally would rather it be sinus than some bug that might have crawled up my snout...ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Hope you find out what it and you feel better soon (F)

It's really localized. I'm pressing carefully with my finger and it's sore on the bone only in one small area and I can sense a little swelling on skin.

Steven, it's good you are taking this seriously because the area that you are referring to is laden with naturally ocurring staphlococcus bacteria. It COULD be an abcess (a small pocket of infection). With all the MRSA infection awareness be sure they do a thorough exam of your sinus turbinates, this is the bacteria's natural habitat. A local hard bump that is painful could be an abcess. A sinus infection usually hurts in the entire sinus region be it ethmoid, frontal etc. But a very specific and painful process could be something like a polyp that has gotten infected. I hope you feel better soon! Don't mess around with this type of thing (coming from a girl who has survived a SERIOUS infection with endoscopic surgery). God bless and get better!

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
