A few times in the past I have seen them cancel and then reschedule the interview at a later date or transfer the case to CSC California Service Center and then you are granted the greencard without an interview. Good luck.

I received an email end of march from INS (uscs) telling us that our interview is being canceled and it will be rescheduled. So far, we did not get anything. We tried to call the customer service line with no luck to get a live soul. We live in Orlando and the local office here is backed up very bad. It takes 2 to 3 years to get an interview.

Does anyone experience the same thing? Thank you in advance

Last year we received the notice of interview and notice of cancellation on the same day. That was last August. There has been no further action except that last week we got 5 identical e-mails stating that our interview had been cancelled. Whether they were referring to the one scheduled last year or one we didn't know about we have no way of knowing.

Hope you fare better than we have. I have made an Infopass appointment and written my congressman to no avail. Everybody just says we have to wait. Been waiting almost 18 months now.

Thats interesting because we had ours scheduled & cancelled by mail then rescheduled only to get 6 emails 2 weeks ago telling us its cancelled again. I called the unhelp line to clarify if this email was a late response to our 1st cancellation or its regarding the 2nd. Of course they had no idea. I was told to make an infopass appt to clarify. We just decided with our supposed rescheduled interview coming up so fast to just go ahead as we never received any notice via mail. If they send us home, it wont be any different than getting an infopass. *shrugs*

I'm in Tampa and this is a bit ahead of where ya'll are though I wonder if this is par for Florida to be impossible with backups?

How does the fiance(e) get to stay in the US and get the lifting of conditions?

Doesn't that have to be done within 90 days of the two-year anniversary ... of what?

How does this work?

Is there any other choice for applying for the AOS?

Your post isnt very clear. Please be sure to read the guides as they really will answer all of your questions. Here is my stab at your questions. If I have anything listed here wrong, I am sure someone will come along here and correct me.

How does the fiance(e) get to stay in the US and get the lifting of conditions?

Assuming your fiancee came on a K1, you will have to get married and file for AOS. Once you receive your AOS interview, if you are approved and its less than 2 years since your marriage, you will need to lift conditions in 2 years following. If by the time you get an interview it is more than 2 years married, you should get the 10 year greencard.

Doesn't that have to be done within 90 days of the two-year anniversary ... of what?

You should get married within 90 days of your fiancee's arrival on the K1. this has nothing to do with the 2 yr anniversary. see above for >2 or <2 year

Is there any other choice for applying for the AOS?

what else would you like? Once here on a K1 you must apply for AOS if your fiancee intends to stay. There is nothing stopping you should your fiancee need to return home. Only for him/her to be able to return, you will need to reapply for a visa designed for a spouse (K3 or CR1/IR1).
