Hello all,

My hubby received packet 3 from Frankfurt Embassy!!!! He will complete the DS 230 and I guess the other forms he has to submitt so they can schedule his appointment. Just to get this straight, on his interview my hubby will provide the Affidavit of Support that I will send to him? Or does that need to be provided before his appointment? Congrats all and I hope everyone has there loved ones soon. This will be a great way to start 2008!(L)

I am worried about my package. NVC said they sent it out to US Embassy in Ukraine on November 15. Today they is already 27th and still not delivered. 12 days has passed and nothing. The embassy said that they got an electronic version, but not hard copy (without which they cannot send packet 3 out).

Anyone out there had similar problems (long delivery time)? I hope DHL did not loose our documents. Is it possible, and if they did what can be done?

Thanks...

You know, the delay could be also due to the holidays. I would call the NVC and ask if they can track that packet and inform them of what the embassy told you. Im sure that they probably also send other cases along with yours to the embassy and track it for incase. Call NVC. They are active until 1100 I think or 1200 eastern time.

Don't worry Liz, From what I read, Juarez is supposed to get the info from NVC via e-mail and not by DHL like other consulates.

Also, I am unsure about them sending the packet to you when they said it should be sent to your spouse.

I just got the letter stating that NVC will send it to Juarez this week, so I am going to call them on monday (and yes, spend another $7) to make sure they send it to her new address in Culiacan.

Remember, be safe and read up on how to be safe in that dirty city. Don't trust or talk to anyone, and leave your cell phone in your hotel if you don't want to run into problems getting into the building. :o) Don't forget your DS-156's, passports, lots of cash, and your passport like photos.

Of course, it looks like you're in Texas already so it must be easy for you to visit the consulate, you're so lucky!

Good luck! I am hoping for the best.

OK, I am trying to be more supportive but, I am starting to loose my cool once again. I just got off the phone with the consulate. a helpful spanish speaking woman was on the phone with me but, when she heard my english, she told me to hold and transfered me to a rude english speaking guy. The guy was entirely not helpful and very crappy. He told me that I may get an interview within 9 to 12 months. How stupid was that answer? Especially when the I-129F states that it is only valid for 4 months?!

Anyway, at least he noted that all mail be sent to my address in America instead of her place in mexico. he said that the mail will be faster. . . of course, mail in mexico sucks as we all know. So, i am looking at that as a positive.

he told me that I need to play mail tag with the consulate before I get any dates. i would rather get your information about taking the forms to the interview. Why do we get different information from each person for $7 a call?

Could you tell me when you get your packet so we can track the papers?

Hi there,

Song, please don't scare me....9 to 12 months for a K3 visa interview is ridiculous. Why is the wait time soooo long for us? My petition has still not been received at NVC...but I would like to know how long I can expect to wait once Juarez receives our petition in order to get an interview.

God help us....

HI GUYS, SO YES IT IS ridiculous ABOUT THE TIME. I KEEP CALLING THEM AND THAT IS WHAT THEY TELL ME "I HAVE TO WAIT FROM 3 TO 9 MONTHS FOR THE CONSULATE TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW".

I DO NOT BELIEVE THEM, I THINK THEY ARE JUST TIRED OF ANSWERING ALL OF OUR CALLS AND THAT IS WHY THEY ARE GIVING US SUCH LONG TIME FRAME, SO WE CAN STOP CALLING THEM.

I KNOW ITS A $7 DOLLAR CALL, BUT I WONT STOP CALLING, EVEN IF I GO BROKE. I AM DESPERATE AND I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR MY HUBBY.

I GUESS THE ONLY THING IS TO HAVE FAITH THAT WE CAN GET OUR INTERVIEWS FAST.

Hi Liz...

Back in July, when I was starting the I-129F process I emailed Ciudad Juarez to ask them about the process. Below is the answer they emailed me back. Like I said, this was in July and I cannot believe what they told you.

"Dear Yadira;

The processing time is from 6 to 9 months for the final visa issuance. It’s currently taking us 3 months to send an appointment for a K3 visa ounce it arrives from the National Visa Center .

Eph 06 "

So, now I don't know what to believe.

Hi Yadira,

I know, it really makes no sense how they keep changing their answer. For some reason the people at the Call Center are upset or just dont want to make an effort, but I know it should not take more than three months to get the interview.

Good luck :)

Hi Liz,

Well, I'm getting desperate here. I need extra peace of mind...I want our I-129F to reach NVC and I just want to get out of USCIS HELL. From looking at your timeline it took long for your case to reach NVC, that is so not fair. I don't understand the whole process, or what determines certain petitions to get there sooner than others (even if approved on the same day, or after).

Do you know when your interview date will be? I know you have called them, and their Customer Service is HORRIBLE. I emailed them over a week ago and they have not answered, I just asked them a simple question. I can't believe they won't take the time to answer.

I see how people in other countries email or call the embassy and they give them their interview date.

Anyways, I hope you get your interview soon.

We'll be in touch. Good luck Liz.
