April's cases forwarded to Embassies

Our case arrived at the Embassay today. They sent packet 3 via the internet. Going to try to get it back to them ASAP and hopefully have an appointment soon.

Our case was supposedly sent to the USEM. NVC gave me a receipt and sent date of yesterday. Also, my Senator's office confirmed our case has been forwarded. DHL's normal timeline is 3 to 6 days.

Hi All and congratulations to all that have made it this far,

Our case has been forwarded to the Manila Embassy on 11/15/2007. I am not sure how to find out if it has been received there yet, except to check the Embassy website to see if there is an appointment date.

My wife Rachel and I are so happy to have made this far after all the delays we have all seen in the past months. It certainly has been a good test of how strong a Love we have for each other. A BIG "Thank you" to my wife, for being so patient through all these months. Also a BIG Thank You to visajourney for answering allot of question we didn't even have to ask.

And one last thing (for now), Good Luck Rachel, in preparing for your upcoming interview. If I can not be there with you, My Heart will.

Im in the same boat as all of you and Im also going for the K-3 rather than the I-130. My husband and I dont care if we have to spend more money and file more forms, we just want to be together. Below is my timeline, so my husband is pretty much waiting to receive notification from the Frankfurt Embassy

NOA 2 for I=129F: 30 Oct 07

Received NOA 2 for I-130 and I-129F: 5 Nov 07

Called NVC for Case # status: 13 Nov 07

Received NVC letter and case # for I-129F: 16 Nov 07

So I was wondering, just to get this straight, my husband needs to get police certificates, passport, two pictures, marriage certificate, affidavit of support (from me with tax forms, bank statement with date opened bank and deposits for last year and current amount) and proof of relationship. Is there anything else we will need? I looked at the Frankfurt site just to see. We would love to be ahead of the game

So, my hopes are a little bit down right now because I am thinking we will not get our appointment before Christmas, which was my dream. Hopefully the Embassy can receive this week and let us know about the interviw fast.

One question to Banfield: How did you get packet 3 via internet????

So, my hopes are a little bit down right now because I am thinking we will not get our appointment before Christmas, which was my dream. Hopefully the Embassy can receive this week and let us know about the interviw fast.

I have been in contact with the embassy for quite some time. We almost filed a DCF last March but the Department of State had discontinued this service when we were married, only to re-instate it after I left the country. So I have had a CR-1 packet three for 8 months. The embassy staff sent it to me by email. My mistake by saying I got them "off the internet".

We are now completing a K-3 and they got our case this week and since I have already been in contact with them, they sent out the documents to me by email as well as snail mail to my wife. I filled them out. I will be scanning those that she needs my signature for and emailing them to my wife, and she will print them out and hopefully hand carry them to the embassy.

My plan is to fly down with the originals that I have or send them international express so she has them for the interveiw. This will be based on the wait time for the interview. The key is that we wanted to get the paperwork back to the embassy ASAP to try to get an appointment before Christmas.

I just called the Embassy again (like 5 minutes ago) and they now say that they have the packet with them; and now we just need to wait for them to assign us an interview and send the packet to me here in Houston via mail.

I am bringing my hopes up again, hopefully all of us can get our interviews before Christmas time.

My wife just turned in Packet 3! Now we get to see how far out they schedule the interview. Hopefully no RFE's!! Good luck and keep checking up on things and they will turn out.

I confirmed receipt of my case as of Monday of this week. I had already received packet 3 by email, so I was able to get all my documents ready. However, because of the background check, we'll have to head to Buenos Aires and file directly with the federal agency (thank God it only takes 8 hours to process). As of December 11th we hope to have packet 3 at the embassy and wait for packet 4.

I wish our Embassy was as fast as yours; unfortunately we have to wait a little bit more to get the packet 3. However, we dont get to send it beause we have to present the packet on the day of the interview.
