Well my now husband couldn't go to the interview because of his work, if your husband has all the papers that he needs in order then I don't think you need to be present at the interview, I took with me a lot of emails, and pics and proves that me and my fiance were in love and that we had a real relationship, that's what they want to check at the embassy. I didn't have any problem going by myself. Hope that help you, good luck ;)

I don't really know about your particular situation, but I'd just have your husband call the US Embassy in Lima, Peru and ask. My fiancee called to ask some questions about some doubts that we had. This is their contact: Telephone: (51-1)434-3000...alternatively you could always call and ask, but then you'd have to waste a calling card and hope that you get all of your answers taken care of.

Good luck.
