My petition was forwarded to manila this past week. For the i-134 form do i need to include transcripts from the irs or can i send a copy of the 1040 forms i sent in to the irs when i filed? Im self-employed and well above the poverty level.

If i need transcripts from the irs,any ideas how long it would take form them to send me a copy?

It takes about a week to get transcripts. You can send a copy of your tax return but that's more than just the 1040. It requires the documentation of the income too, like 1099 or W2 etc. I recommend the transcripts. Their free, and prove without any doubt how much income you claimed for tax purposes. Anybody can write anything they want on a 1040 form but if you actually claimed it to the IRS, they accept it as fact. They are never going to suspect you planned ahead and paid extra taxes three prior years, just to accomplish visa fraud.

I recommend you send three years of IRS transcripts, particularly if you are self employed.

Fill out Form 4506-T. They have it online on IRS website. That is what I did.
