Can this Dr. Arnold fill in the supplement even though I'm in Maine and sending the documents to VSC? The surgeons here are asking for $450 for that little I-693A :(

YES, I did it it works and for only $10 and back to you within 10 days all by mail. As long as you have had a US medical exam by a approved Dr of UCIS or Civil Surgeon within past 12 months and you have that vaccination form DS3025 you can do this with Dr L E Arnold, she is very good.

Does an RFE for a medical exam hold back the issue of EAD or AP?

I beleive an RFE is an RFE and it does not matter so much what it is for....

Perhaps you'd like to answer the question?

It sounded like you understood that an RFE on your I-485 does impact your interim benefit filings or why would you have known to ask this question?

Actually, I didn't know that. I may have heard someone say that but people make mistakes. That is why I wanted to make sure. To be honest, I don't see how it slows it down. They are separate forms for separate purposes. Why should I not be allowed to go visit my family because immigration gets ####### and decides I need to get another medical? The whole process is ridiculous and I'm going to inform my congressman of that when I become a citizen.

Welcome to the USA! Sorry but you have to play by their ####### rules now just like the rest of us do and it can get very frustrating, hang in there.

Does anyone happen to know the quickest anyone has received their I-693A back from Dr. Arnold? I should have done this a month ago, now I'm having to hurry. I need the quickest way, and the closest civil surgeon listed on USCIS website is and hour and 45 minutes away :help:

Less than 10 business days by regular US mail, if you fed ex it to her, maybe less than 5 days. Or if you are allowed to fax it into them maybe sooner, just call her offices and ask to see what they will accept. Good luck.

Yeah, I know I have to play by their ####### rules now. But when I'm a citizen I will have the right to tell them the rules are ridiculous. I still don't see how it is such a crime to visit one's family. And I also don't understand why I was allowed to work for 90 days and now I'm not. Yet they worry about immigrants coming over and sucking up welfare money. I just want to work and I want to visit my family.

I HATE miles, gallons, pints, words spelled without u's, and all that other jazz...

Preach it, you are right on. I agree with you especially since you probably already have or had a tourist visa before you got married to US citizen, makes no logical sense at all, same thing happened to me, my spouse had a five year tourist visa but US embassy worker immediately removed it from her passport and canceled it out once the K1 visa was approved after interview. ANOTHER non logical step, makes no sense, once again I agree, you are allowed to work for the first 90 days after you arrive in USA on a K1, then at end of that time no more, or when you get married which then leads to a person having to file for the AOS EAD and AP which like you point out why allow someone to work in the first place for 90 days and just make the whole thing available for 9 months instead of 90 days while everyone waits, who knows I Am sure some policy wonk at State Dept and Dept of Homeland Security will have a reason or was behind creating this rule, another one of life's mysterys!

Thanks. No, I just entered on a K1 visa. I've never had to get a tourist visa because I'm from Canada.

But still it makes no logical sense, I mean, for USCIS is so worried about everyone being able to sponsor and support a spouse financially, yet when a spouse tries to do that or help support the family they are made to sit and wait for way too long and not allowed to work or to travel in and out of USA, especially legal immigrants, it is ridiculous and in your case a fine example of that silly policy and you are right it needs to improve or change.
