Hi All,

I have two questions that I need help with.

1. Are there any Jamaican going the K-1 route ever received security check before NOA2 approval from Csc?

2.Does it make sense to get married and file since the above [/color] take for ever?

Thanks

Shar

I do not know the specific answer to your question.. however.. I can only speculate that if they are giving you security checks for this petition, then more than likely, they are going to start the same security checks for another petition.

Hope you make it through the process as fast as possible!

Hey Shar,

Did you get stuck in security checks? I feel so bad for you, i know you have been waiting along time....I see on your timeline that you get an RFE, what was that for?

I have to agree with iceyspots that if you where to go to JA and get married and then return to the US to petition for the K-3 then you might get hit again with the security checks.

Are you for sure in security checks now?

Hang in there I know it hard having to woat for soooooo long...just be strong.

Hi Joanna,

The RFE was for in sufficient evidence which they received on March21. I E-mailed them on Thursday ,This is what was said. The petition is undergoing security checks. Please inquire in 60days.

Oh that sucks, I wish you the best and for speedy security checks...I think you are the 1st person I have heard of from JA that has had to go through security checks...I guess they just pick people randomly??

Shar - I've know a few people who filed from Jamaica who went through security checks while waiting for NOA2. They waited 4-5 months. Jamaicadiva is one. Look at her timeline.

Please keep in mind a security check can be done at anytime. Our AOS was just approved after waiting 7 months after the interview.

Stay strong and continue to pray and be patient.

Shar,

I also have to agree I went through security checks when I was going thru the K1 myself. I was told everyone goes through them but the process normally takes a few days (+/-) so most ppl don't know but there are a few that have to be checked thorougly due to whatever reason. I know a few ppl as well Denise also went through it so it's very common. Per my Senator's office security checks happens more then once in the process just at a different level, so if you decide to go the K3 route you will still go through it just maybe at a different level.
