Also maybe you should let Hilton AND David's Bridal know that you will never use their services and that you will let every bride you know aware of this. I wonder if the other women on the list got emails too?

It's things like this that reinforce my desire to do this myself without the cookie cutter places to "help."

Oh I have let them know. I have written a letter about my initial experience, it took them a month to reply.

Then I get this...so I called their corporate headquarters....left a message. Then I decided that they will probably not care that they pissed me off again, after all I am just ONE bride. So I decided to email local newspapers.

This is a PR nightmare for a company, they should be a little more careful.

I am like, "tell me does this really help your business, bc you irritating the ####### out of me doesn't make me want to use you guys"... Ugh!! Maybe if you press it they will at least get some bad publicity from it.. that could make some changes. Good Luck!!

I just think David's Bridal is probably the most arrogant business I have ever had to deal with it.

Oh you've had a bad experience at our store? You've written a long letter of complaint, well why don't we take our time replying. A month sounds about right! Then after we reply to you, lets give your information to another business you can start getting junk mail about them. Lets not stop there, lets accidentally send you a spreadsheet with your personal information on it and the information about other brides as well! Who cares right! There aren't psychos on the internet! Then when you call us out, we'll tell you to forget about our boo boo and to look at some suites from the Hilton instead!

Its like they are standing right next to me, poking my shoulder, constantly. They are so on my last nerve.

I just don't understand why some businesses assume that brides are stupid/naive/unable to make decisions on their own.

This is an extreme situation (unfortunately for you) but I'm sure we've all seen ####### when looking for wedding stuff. How about the bakery that charges 3x for a "wedding cake" when you can get the exact same cake for a birthday for less? (We decided to just go with a full sheet cake...$50 to feed 60-80 people...same cake, same filling, same icing) Or the hotel that charges an additional $300 for it being a honeymoon "suite." I really truly don't get it.

I must have missed the original thread, but what did David's do to begin with? I went there originally for my dress, but we ended up finding a medieval style one in Germany for about 50 Euros. I'm glad I didn't have to deal with David's, because I've heard some horror stories from other people too.

Good luck with this.

And I know what you mean, its like companies make a killing off important events in peoples lives. They kiss your ###, then charge you an arm and a leg. I hate it as well.

Thank you, for taking the time write us about your experience in Maple Shade NJ store. On behalf of David's Bridal, please accept my sincere apology for the level of service you received when shopping at our store.

Copies of your letter have been forwarded to all relevant managers for their review. Shirley Levy, the assistant manager, in the Maple Shade store would be happy to personally assist you, if you would like to come back and see us. We have beautiful gowns and I know Shirley would be able to give you the service you did receive at your first appointment.

We strive to provide consistently superior service, so we welcome constructive critism from our valued customers. This enables us to provide feedback and coaching to our associates so they may continue to improve.

Blah blah blah. It took you long enough to reply, I already got a dress from another store thank you very much.

Um, "constructive criticism"? How about complaints. And they actually asked you to go BACK to that store? What ######s!

Yea I know. I think it was basically a generic letter.

These guys are SO impersonal.

And Lorilawless, yes I contacted the BBB....for the second time lol.

Hopefully something gets done.

It really sucks that they messed up so bad with the email..but making a killing off important events in people's lives is the way the world goes round
