I vent my dryer into the house every couple of days. Keeps the air a little more moist than normal.

whoa, that is a capital idea

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Eating a lot of spicy food is suppose to minimize static electricity.

I don't want to know how that works...

Yeah, we experience that too here in NC late autumn and winter. Aside from running a humidifier, we also have a couple of water fountains running in in various rooms.

Also, I read somewhere that if you put a used bounty sheet in the pockets of your coat (esp those that generate a lot of static), it will help reduce the amount of static you generate. I've tried it and it does help for me.

bounty is a paper towel. i think you mean bounce. and i just rubbed a bounce sheet all over the cat. he didn't like that.

OOposs. yeah...I meant bounce!!

Sorry.. was in a rush as we were running late for an appointment.

Neither do I but it's as reliable as scaring someone with hiccups.

Alrighty, I brought a vicks vaporiser, just a cheapy at $19 from walgreens but it has really made a difference in just a few hours. I am using the camphor stuff in it and it is really nice smelling and I havent shocked the cats once tonight.

I think I'm going to get a really great nights sleep... yippee! Im sick of waking up coughing.

I also think it is actually helping with keeping the house a bit warmer. With just a fire going the last few nights it was tough about this time of night to get above 55degf, right now it is 64. Hopefully this coming week we will have the gas turned on for heat... we went in last Wednesday but they have to run some sort of checks before they will come out and turn it on.. takes 4 business days... seems stupid to me but apparently they do that for all new accounts.

Im going to try the bounce sheets in my pocket. anything is better than the constant zap zap zap...

Touching something metal is supposed to help, door knob or something similar. Maybe. Course that may just give you a bigger zap, I dunno!

You could poison your cat like that. Bounce sheet on fur, cat licks fur = cat ingests stuff that it really shouldn't.
