Packet 3 is the instruction packet, with forms and instructions for what to do next. Packet 4 is just your interview date. How this is done by each embassy or consulate can vary. But most people receive a packet 3 and 4.

Congratulations. Packet #3 & #4 come together for those in Peru. You need to fill out all of the required forms for the interview and just send the Biographical page back to the Embassy as soon as possible. Schedule you medical exam with the 3 approved doctors. If you go into the Emabassy Info section here on Visajourney you can get a lot of information for the interview. Congrats and good luck, let us know if you need any more information.

Hi Charito, well my story was different because I never got the packet 3 or 4 from the embassy EVER!!!! I had to call the embassy and ask about the day of my interview!! , anyway, I know that the packet 3 and 4 are the same, the packet 4 is just the paper where they tell you the day of your interview, and you don-t have to send any paper to them, at least I didn't send anything, I did bring with me all the documents I would need, my police records ( Antecedentes Penales, Antecedentes Judiciales, Antecedentes Policiales) pide todo para viaje al extranjero. Then also your birth certificate, as I am from Arequipa I had to go to the Reniec so they put a special stamp, but if you are from Lima I don't think you need that. The forms, if you go the web site of the embassy in Lima you will find the forms that you need, also your fiance has to send you the affidavit of support, his taxes from the last 3 years and a letter from his employeer, then 2 photos (5*5 cm) I think that's all, bring with you also many pics and letters or emails that you and your fiance have as prove of your relationship, well, hope that this help you, good luck!!! and if you need more information just ask, byeee.

No, the citizen is not required to attend the interview. However, I strongly recommend that you go. I went with my husband, and the interview was a piece of cake. Your presence is just an example of the love you share for your spouse.

That actually depends on the embassy or consulate. Some places don't allow the fiance or spouse to attend the interview, they have to wait outside.
