We are moving next week....same town, different address. I'm the USC, and have filed my I-865 Sponsor's Change of Address, but have a couple questions about my wife's AR-11 Change of Address. In the upper right corner of the form, it says "I AM IN THE UNITED STATES AS A....VISITOR...PERMANENT RESIDENT....STUDENT....OTHER." Her K-1 visa has expired but we married within 90 days, filed her AOS, and are now waiting for her AOS interview. So what box should we check? If we check "OTHER", then what info do we put for explanation to "OTHER?"

Also on the form right before her signature, there is a box that says "IF NOT A PERMANENT RESIDENT, MY STAY IN THE U.S. EXPIRES ON:" (supposed to list a date here) How should this question be answered? As I stated earlier, her K-1 has expired, but we are waiting for her AOS interview. Thanks in advance for any help!

I'd say "Other" and explanation as K-1 Visa Holder.

Yeah, I'd check "other" and then just put you know, the truth. Just write K-1 with AOS pending, or something.

Also, I would just like to tell you that when we moved we just called and changed our address over the phone. The lady said she could do that and it worked out just fine. My husband was out of status at that time, but we weren't asked about it.

I don't know. That is just my experience. I think it is probably best to file the AR-11. And I guess you'll just have to put the date it expired. You've filed the AOS application, so you are fine with the fact that it's expired.
