Could someone sort of fill me in as to what to expect at the interview process in BKK? I think someone had posted in the past but I can not find it. Does anyone recently been interviewed in BKK and would like to share their experiences i.e. type of questions they are asking and what should we bring? I know we'd just gotten approved for NOA2 but want to be prepared. Thanks so much.

Are you going to go to BKK for the interview? I am considering it, just depends on $$$$

I would love to if my work center will allow me. I haven't seen my lady since April. I have just started my new job...well same job, same place but without the uniform. I'm a civilian now.

Texas...our packages were mailed on the same date. I'd checked DHL and it contained 2 sets of packages. The tracking also showed it was signed for at the embassy on 15 Dec at 10:16 am...which means little over 2 hrs ago as to I am writing this forum.

Just returned from the Thai Capital -- always a difficult re-entry after a great week there. Thankfully this will be my LAST solo trip to DFW! Our attorney estimates a January 15 interview date and Visa in hand a couple of days after that. My fiancee wants to have one more visit with her family and friends to the South, so we'll aim for a late January U.S. entry. I'm guessing you all will follow a similar timeline. Can't believe we're now talking WEEKS instead of MONTHS.

So ThaiStyle -- how did you find the DHL tracking number information?

Best of luck!

Someone posted on the thread while back on how to check the DHL tracking system. You had told me that your package was sent on 12 Dec. I called NVC and they told me mine was sent on 12 Dec as well. I tracked the DHL no. and it showed 2 documents were sent on 12 Dec to BKK. Good luck to you and I hope my girl gets her interview date around the same time as yours. I can not be there with her because of my job. She knows what to expect and I have been coaching her for awhile now.

Excellent - absolutely amazing as to the timing.

One other question ... Have you found any VJ threads -- or do you have any ideas/suggestions -- on helping to ensure our fiancees acclimate well to the U.S.? I'm wanting to make sure she has a chance to make new Thai friends in addition to the friends I have here in the states, and that she feels like this is her home/OUR home ASAP.

All the best!

I am working on a website right now for the Thai Community in America. It will have forum and all other interesting things that we all can enjoy. More to come on that. I am also trying to make our first annual gathering for all of us with Thai SO's. I will let everyone know on that as well. We, good luck and Happy Holidays.

One thing that stood out the most and what I felt was unfair was. As per I-134 affadavit of support, they do not need 3 years tax returns because I provided letter from my job and bank statements. Only need 3 years tax returns if you are self employed. But, they told my fiance to return on Monday (Additional Evidence Day) with 3 years of my tax returns. So my advice would be to make sure your fiance have tax returns. As far as interview goes they only ask basic questions:

1. How did you meet?

2. When did I come?

3. How long I stayed?

4. Where did I go when I came?

5. Where did I stay when I came?

Interview lasted 3 minutes...

GREAT NEWS -- our interview is now scheduled for Thursday January 31st! Plane tickets are booked and our renewed optimism feels GREAT!!!!! Man, what a process. As I told our attorney, this path will either make you OR break you. I thank God that at this point our relationship seems to be stronger than ever. This is REALLY going to happen!

We have our Bangkok interview scheduled for 7:30 a.m. on a Thursday. I've been told that the Visa will be issued the next day, Friday, assuming all goes well. MY QUESTION: If there's a delay and it's not issued Friday does the Embassy issue Visas on Saturdays?

Thanks!
