what do we use for i.d. after we're married?

I may be getting a little ahead of myself here, but what happens after my fiancee comes here, we get married, and then she takes my last name? Her Colombian passport will still have her maiden name, and she will need to use it to enter her country again when we go back under the advanced parole. What name do we use on the plane tickets and that sort of thing? Do we use her married name and bring the marriage certificate? She'll need i.d. for check-in, customs, immigration, etc. and her passport will probably be the only form of i.d. she has for a while. Thanks!

You need to get all her ID's in the U.S. under her married name, like SSN, State ID or Drivers license, and other such documents. As for airline tickets, they will HAVE to be the same name that is in her Passport. You should always have a copy of your marriage certificate, and as long as you have your AP paperwork, if you travel before she gets her GC, then you will be fine.

My wife is from Colombia and she has changed her last name and she will use her passport in her maiden name (and a copy of our marriage certificate) plus her green card in the new name to travel - the Colombian consulate is pretty ####### about issuing new passports so we are not even considering that. Good Luck
