ok we just mailed our I-129F packet out this past tuesday.

I am going to visit her in canada for xmas but she is also coming here to New Jersey in february for a concert. I would just liek to know what are the best things to show at the border to prove we are not going to marry while shes here.

It woudl be a waste of money if she got turned away. Does it delay the process a long time too?

She doesn't need to prove that she's not going to marry you. She has to prove strong ties to Canada such that they do not believe her to be an immigration risk. There have been so many posts, ad nauseum, about this subject. Do some searching....

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

She just needs to prove strong ties to Canada (letter from employer, lease/mortgage, etc.). Yet you should know that it all depends on the mood/discernment of the port of entry officer.- Most VJ members have traveled with no probs, but every now & then the waste of money does happen :(

Good luck and welcome!

check this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...aded&start=

many people visit during the process. true, some get turned away, but most not. it will not delay your process if you would. i visited twice myself and had no problems. not even when i answered 'my fiance' when they asked whom i was visiting. there are good tips in the thread.

good luck!
