Pre-flight announcement

Wonder if this was United.... I just returned from Chicago and the flight attendants on both the outbound and return flights took similar 'liberties' with their announcements.

By the looks of the video, the plane was a 737 painted in Southwest colors. Southwest has been spicing up the security announcements for years. I remember in about 1995, I was on a flight where they said "For those of you who have not been inside a car in the past 30 years, you can fasten the seatbelt by inserting the flat metal portion into the buckle..."

Then United is copying them because that was one of the lines used on both of my flights.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Timeline

I had a flight attendant jokester like him on a Continental flight. It was a very bumpy and stormy flight but his sense of humor really helped us out on what was the scariest flight I had ever been on (and I didn't panic!)

He offered to sing us songs over the intercom while we were waiting in line to take off, I think there was talk of a game of pictionary between the left and right sides of the plane, told the people who brought on food with them that they had to share... everyone take a bite and pass it down or in the case of the family with the soft serve ice creams 'Lick and pass, lick and pass!', we had a rough landing and he came on and said, "ok y'all, that landing was awful, it sucked, I had NOTHING to do with that landing, y'all, I am so sorry"

REALLY calmed my nerves. I am a very nervous flier and that flight would have normally put me off of flying altogether. Thanks to him I'm looking forward to my trip in December :D

ETA: if anyone's counting, yes, it was on a regional jet.
