Hi! No need for congrats, I just wanted to post my experiences in the New York forum but couldn't find it. I guess that it went down with the old site.

We had our interview on March 30. (hey, I've been kinda busy). It was tough, not what I'd expected after reading others' accounts.

We arrived an hour early due to the traffic/parking issues of New York. We ended up waited 3 1/2 hours for our appointment. In at 9:30 out at 1:30. The guy we got was weird and slow. He warned me several times about lying to him. He didn't want any of our proof of relationship other than the marriage certificate. He took my AP (not EAD), saw my birth certificate and passport, that was all. I asked for the passport stamp since I was to go to Canada over Easter, but he said that he couldn't give it to me and warned me about using the AP in case I was denied and had to stay in Canada as a result.

We went well prepared but the interview, as I said, was weird.

I got the green card on April 11, just in time for my trip.

Mar 15/11 - text, email, and notice sent - biometrics booked

April 12/11 - biometrics done - I start studying

May - get the letter

June 27 - Interview and oath ceremony - same day

Lifting Conditions

Feb 5/08 - Sent paperwork by USPS - priority

Feb 14/08 - NOA issued

Feb 28/08 - Biometrics letter received for The Bronx Office - have to reschedule

Mar 22/08 - Biometrics rescheduled - LOVE the Saturday appointment!

Feb ?/09 - done!

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

Woo Hoo....8/28/08 Recieved 10yr Greencard in mail, no approved email!! We are done!!!

Jeez. Our officer was kinda weird, too. He didn't wanna see any of our photos or scrapbook or anything and it made me mad! I had worked so hard....grrr.

Oh well.

Anyway, glad you got to go to Canada. We'll be up there in September for a wedding. :) Happy Easter!

5/23/03: Justin arrives to visit me in IA from SK.
6/7/03: We got married!
8/23/03: Filed I-130 from SK
8/25/03: Phoned border guards & asked if J could escort me back to IA, yes.
8/26/03: Arrive in IA
8/27/03: Went to USCIS local office to ask if J could stay in the US and file papers, yes
2004: I-130 approved!
6/05: Filed AOS/EAD
7/2/05: Rec'd receipt for I-485
8/05: Rec'd RFE for Biometrics
9/9/05: Rec'd RFE for medical
12/2/06: EAD APPROVED!
12/5/06: EAD card rec'd
1/15/06: AOS interview date for 4/11/06 at 11:00 a.m.
4/11/06: APPROVED!!!!!! NO MORE USCIS FOR 10 YEARS!!! WOOHOO!!! 2016...seems more like a page # than a year. Haha.
