My Garden is Clay, its quite a new house & they layed sod, blah over clay, so i had to re-seed at the end of last year, so fingers crossed for the tiny little green shoots i see now

as for plant life, there was NOT a one, so i have planted some perenials, & plan on planting more, i love a garden with Colour, and i miss my English garden, but it will certainly be a pleasure gardening in the hot sun, intead of drizzle

as for the under ground sprinkler system, OMG our water bill last year was huge cos of it, i think this year we are going to use a different option

I know nothing about gardening, but at our new house we planted about 10 of those little $1-$2 flower plants. I hope they don't die. We'd like to make it look like a real garden one day(a small one though).

I did some of those red sunflowers last year---they were spectactular! And lavender... girl, we have to talk. I have sort of a 'thing' for lavender.

Actually, we just turned the whole front over to it, more or less. We took out all of the grass and have planted all mediterranean low/no water plants. Everything's finally waking up after winter and I'm soooo excited for it to GROW!

(oh crud, that image is waaaay too big...)

ohhh I want to get some Lavender but just haven't seen any plants out here or on QVC!

Does anyone know of something you can put in birbbath water to stop Algae - Gary says he heard of something that was harmless once and he can't remember now.

My birdbath is green but I want to keep water in it.

i LOVE how everything comes to life in spring... my most fave season of the year...

I Love sun flowers but have never seen red ones, where can i get them??
