Hi,

I've mailed my I-130 to Nebraska on 11/8/2007 and received by the office on 11/13/2007. As of today, I have not received any receipt notice and my check has not yet cashed. My husand and I are very anxious and worry. I don't know how much longer it would take for them to at least look at our application. Does anyone know that since Nebraska says all form are processing current at their location, does this mean that they are not delay?

NSC does not process I-130s. Your I-130 will be transferred to the Chicago Lockbox for initial data input and then sent to either California or Vermont for processing. USCIS hasn't issued NOA-1s for I-130s dating back to August, so sit back and be patient: it's going to be awhile.

I just replied to this in previous posts to nepali guy. I will just cut and past. THe short answer is - Nebraska doesnt' process I-130s though you had to file there. So don't even look at its timeline.

We have filed in October to Nebraska and we still have nothing. Everybody who filed to Nebraska used to get their petitions transfered to California bz NCS doesn't process I-130s. Because of the millions of petitions filed past July everybody who filed after August 30 in California STILL don't have a NOA1. Latest news are that all petitions filed after August 30 to CSC and July somth to VSC are shipped to Chicago for data entry. So Hopefully in January all of us will hear smth. Look at the August/September I-130 forum and you will learn more. Sorry for breaking bad news to you.

Yes, this is the latest update. So if the Chicago Lockbox is so up to date through 8/20/2007, where is my NOA1 which was received by them on August 14??????????????????????? This is bull.

Dod, I am so confused on this Chicago Lockbox, as it says August 20th ok, but is that the date they received or the date the service centers received? Vague information, and have heard from alot of different sides on this that some applications were not transferred to Chicago and stayed at their service center. No information that is concrete here, so I cant believe anything that I am seeing....you can try to call USCIS next week to see if you are in the system but ya know thats a coin flip on accurate information, not being in the system, but getting correct information.

Happy Holidays even tho they are so rough for many of us right now, but just hang on...what else can we do but wait, I would wish for an I-129f entry into the system but as you can tell neither of my applications nor a few other mates here have either one entered from August or September forward. Confusing yes, expected yes.

I am waiting till second week January and then will probably refile the the I-129f if nothing shows up. When I see K1's I-129's being entered in three days and receipts sent, grrrrrrr....not at them, but at the system. Just seems if your application is a spousal visa then there is a red flag to hold back for future development. JUST WRONG!!!!

One thing that I got a kick out of was another VJ member saying to me on the phone, why can the IRS (oh yes them lol) process into the system millions of applications received on April 15th and yet, USCIS has to relie on outside contractors (ok maybe this is good now) to get the job done. Again piss poor management and not thinking ahead of supply and demand. Raise rates yeah go for it USCIS, but expect to have a line of applications flood your system, and if you are not ready for this, then wait on the fee raising until you can handle it.

:help: and tosses USCIS some more VISINE FOR THEIR COFFEE!!!!!

The K-1's are getting their NOA-1s, but as far as I can tell, the K-3 NOA-1s are being held up same as the I-130s. Since the CR-1/IR-1 visa seems to be a better deal and the I-130 will be put on hold as soon as the K-3 begins processing, doesn't seem to make much sense to file for the K-3 after waiting months for the I-130's NOA-1, imo.

Hello everybody,

We also filed in November. My wife (a USC) mailed I-130 and G-325s to Nebraska Service Center on November 13th. It was received on the 15th according to USPS tracker. But we have heard nothing from USCIS yet.

My wife is from Minnesota. That is why she mailed the petition to Nebraska Service Center. But we have started to panic now! Even the USCIS website does not have processing time up for I130s that are sent to NSC. Can somebody please help me by explaining about WHAT HAPPENS TO THE I-130 MAILED TO NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER? Your responses would be highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

I have filed my I-130 to NSC on 11/8/07 and recieved on 11/13/07 according to USPS. I have not heard anything either and my check has not yet cashed. I am a US citizen filing for my husband in China. Normally it ususally takes a few weeks before we will get notice from them, but now is over a month. What makes me upset is that the USCIS weekly updates give you no information. They always say all forms current. How can they be current and I have not recieved nothing from them??? I've called the customer service line many many times trying to figure out what happened to my applications, but all they said is that Nebraska didn't say they fwd'd their applications like the other service centers. I questioned how did she know, she just said that's what it say on the weekly updates. I almost fainted. They cannot give me any additional information other than what I can see myself too. Please someone give me some advices what is happening to our applications now!! thank you very much

Nebraska doesn't process I-130s and never has. The forms tell you to mail it there depending on which state you live in, but Nebraska would, before last week anyway, forward the application to either California or Vermont, depending upon what state you lived in. Now, Nebraska should be forwarding your application to the Chicago Lockbox which will do the initial data entry. Then the application will be forwarded from Chicago to either California or Vermont. People who submitted I-130s in August are still waiting on there receipt, so get in line. :)

As of now, USCIS has not stated if Chicago will be cashing the checks and issuing the NOA-1s or if California or Vermont will be doing the deed after they receive the files back from Chicago. Anyone's guess is good.
