I can understand that hope.

I was very patient with USCIS and accepted the 3 month wait just for them to open the darn envelope. I accepted the wait for the NOA1. I accepted the wait for online status.

But now I'm getting irritated. People who have filed recently are getting approved and there are September and October filers, myself included, still waiting w/o so much as a touch. :diablo:

Yess Ms Z, and we payed the increased fee for that too !!

ya this is what i was thinkin (def not christmas they shoud be here before that.. infact we all may be on our second honey moon during Christmas hehe) so i was thinkin

say we get approved MAX in beginning of may..

gets to NVC in mid may

so we have mid may , june , july max in NVC

gets to embasy in aug

and then however our country's US embassy works for getin the interview, could be august or max sept... so i think we have a max to wait till sept unless everythin goes more quiker..

wat do yal think??

I think that would make sense for things to happen like that, with the new pay online service at NVC the wait times should be less there. Then its all about the consulate  I have a feeling that my wife will be here in december or Jan though. Im a Nov filer and from what i can see the processing of I 130's for brazil seem to be very slow for no reason, the 2 other filers that i have seen on this forum are both past 8 months and still counting for thier NOA2. I only pray that the time doesnt destroy my relationship. I wish luck and that god be with all of you so that your loved ones will be with you by August or September.

Yep, MTL is one of the worst. We more than likely are going to ask for a change of venue from MTL to Santiago. My husband is a Canadian PR living in Toronto, and a Chilean citizen so we have that option. Seems like Santiago only takes about 2 months so I am still hoping on 2008.

My blog

10/01/2005: Married in Toronto

02/15/2006: Began Canadian Immigration

09/19/2007: Withdrew CIC application (they still hadn't processed anything)

Its strange how people who filed in Dec and beyond are getting approvals before people who filed long before. Makes me wonder if it is because in Dec they told everyone to send the applications to the lockbox, at the same time the service centers were sending their applications to the lockbox fo data entry. Maybe they had a system in place when they asked that all pettitions be sent to the lockbox in Dec. and all of the applications before that ended up in one big mess. Last month we saw the the processing dates go back for reasons not yet known to us. Sure they can say they sent out RFE letters and now they have the responses back , but they also said that it was because of applications being sent from CSC to VSC, I tend to think that all that shifting has left some applications in some strange black hole. I believe that they moved the dates back because the applications were sent to the wrong service center, VSC got some of CSC and CSC got some of VSC. They had no system really set up before Dec, they only knew they had more than they could handle and started packing up boxes and mailed everything to the lockbox to cash our checks.
