Yeah I have to admit my production at work has gone down since I started this process. Started when I didnt get my NOA1 for a long time so I would always check their delay updates to see if I should be looking in my mail for NOA1 or not. Then after Feb. 24th when I could see my case online and signed up for email notification I was checking email ,USCIS, and VJ atleast 20 times a day :blush: Not sure why I even bother to look really, never had any touches at all. Same update day of 2/24/2008, **Sigh** Our day will come, and when it does I hope I dont have a heart attack, I never get email so the other day I had 2 messages and I was like please be USCIS, please be USCIS, darn youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu best buy!!!!!! Oh wait bonus certificates.......I Dont care, darn you best buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL ur story is so funny!! ya it makes the day go by fast while at work when browsing VJ HAHA! but then i do make sure to get the work done........

but also i never get email on the email id registered for USCIS.. and that day i had 2!! darn that shutterfly! free pics.. i dont want free pics i want an approval !!L OLLL

I thought I was the only one that every free moment I get I log on to VJ. I am getting so discouraged that I have tried to log into VJ once or twice per day. Now I see that a DEc filer got approved. I am wondering if they have misplaced the OCt applications. I do not understand. I want to call some one... but who do I call and ask at USCIS. I can only be patient and pray...It is soooooooo fraustrating.

Pecky :crying::crying::crying::crying:

I dont understand USCIS at all, but on the other hand congrats to the Dec. filer, they only had to wait 4 months. I wish that was the case for all of us. And USCIS says backlog, well i fyou have so much backlog where did you get the Dec file from :bonk: . Atleast some people dont suffer as much as others. This process can be very detrimental to the people going through it. In fact it is one of the hardest things I have had to do and I have had some tough things to deal with before.

Well besides that how is everyone today? Anyone else have this strange attraction to their email, VJ.com, and USCIS and by attraction I mean addiction? :wacko:

The only way to get any information the correct way (no RFE line calls) seems to be making and Info pass appointment. Who knows if or what information they have but that seems to be the only way to get information about your case. I am curious to know what happens in an infopass appointment , do they know what stage you are in on your application, can they see what has been done already and what is still needed, or do they only see a screen that says you filed an application on such and such date. I have 2 offices that are about the same distance for me, one in D.C. and one in Norfolk. I would have to take time off from work to go but if i thought they might be able to provide some more information other than what the 1-800 number has i think i might be tempted to do it.

And as with all of the service centers, they do not take phone calls, all calls need to be transfered from the USCIS 1-800 number so I cant even get an answer as to what they do or what they can see to know if it is worth missing a day of work to go. USCIS really does like to keep everyone in the dark on things. I suppose they have their reasons.

One other thing while im thinking about it, I think I may have a way to know if your application is being looked at by anyone. The color of your application numbers. If you use the same pc day in and day out to check your application your application number is always purple I never delte cookies or anything also . When something has been looked at or accessed the numbers turn blue. I check my application on my work pc and on my house pc, the numbers are always purple. I just called uscis to see if maybe they have any new info other than blah blah blah Jan 24th we blah blah blah , right after the call, my application number was blue. Any thoughts? Anyone else ever notice the color change? Oh and my application has never been "touched"/updated since it was entered in the system but at random times like after calls, the application number turns blue.

This is a function of your browser, not of USCIS. There is a color for links you haven't access and links you have and the color is based on your windows settings.

By default, purple means you've accessed the page and blue means the link has not yet been followed. But since you're accessing a web page that does a query to a database, it has no knowledge of the underlying data. Meaning, there is zero connection. (And when I say "by default" I mean if your system is using the default Windows settings.) The color has everything to do with Windows and browser cache and nothing to do with the actual status of your application.

Oh well maybe im wrong, still dont understand why if i always use the same link day in and day out and its always purple. My settings never change, I thought perhaps the link changed because there is no reason for it to show it not being used when all the other links around it are still purple. Oh well.

hey guys... read ur posts.. so funny!! Im so hooked, i forget if i checked uscis so i check it again. :huh: All this happened after Feb 24 when they updated and I was able to see my case online <_< There is too many of us sept/oct filers still anticipating that "touch" or better yet.. our approval!!! :bonk:

About the Infopass... you might want to research it a bit b4 attempting to do that. I was told that the case can get requested to be mailed to the site u have ur appointment with thus causing further delay and possibility of ur case being misplaced.

On the purple/blue thingie... mine has been blue since the feb 24!!! Never an update.. everytime I check it there is that FEB 24 date :dead: I hate that day now! :ranting:
