I'm an October 2007 filer (receipt dated January 2008). I just got off the phone with a rep at CSC and he said that I am a January filer, not an October filer. This makes me sad. I don't even know if I really believe him, but it still all makes me so sad. The RFE line said I needed to submit additonal evidence, but I have never gotten a letter and the CSC rep said I didn't have to submit anything.

...Off to sulk now. :(

Did you talked with and Oficial?

Or just the customer service jerks that read from website info?

Your Priority Date is the date that your Service Center received your petition!

If you sent on October and was received in October you are an October Filer

Nothing to do with the NOA Date!

Well if you want to speak with and Oficial, you have to pass the crappy Representative, you can do this by telling

them that you havent received your noa for your I130 Application

Then they will forward you too an Oficial, you can get a Touch just requesting to check your address or if you want to change it!

Does anyone know how to do the RFE trick...I want to get a touch..

I didn't speak to an official? Ugh. No wonder. Now I'm really wondering about why the automated line said I needed to submit more evidence and the customer service representative said that I didn't need to. Did he even *see* my file?

The RFE line said the same thing about me too, and the Rep said they didn't see anything in the system that I have an RFE, which would make sense, seeing how my case hasn't been touched since the NOA1 back in Jan.

You indeed ARE a October filer, you're just noted in the system with a JAN NOA1 date, but your petition was still "received in the mailroom" in October...go by that date and have trust in it and not let others confuse you cause thats all they will do. The organization of USCIS is a bit all over the place at times and people on the phone can really be confusing, but your hardcopy NOA 1 should show the date of October in which is was received in the mailroom. Go by that date.

Why do you just want to get a "call touch"? These are absoulutely nothing, just means that the CSR looked your case up online, they see exactly what you see on the USCIS website and it creates a "call touch". The touch you want is the one that comes, when you have NOT called, that means that an Adjucator accessed your file. This is who you want a touch from, not CSR. Those CSR touches can confuse you and maybe cause more anxiety. This is why the CSR can't really tell you if you have a RFE until AFTER you've gotten assigned to an adjucator.

Hmmmm...well this is a bit of a different situation as the the petitioner was a LPR, when they applied back in 2005, but they since became a USC and upgraded their petition in October 2007, with an approval in March 2008:

Oh jgay, you'll be fine. We are moving at a real good speed right now. Just start preparing for the NVC portion. That got me real busy as of lately.

Yeah I do need to do that. I'm going to Jamaica for Easter recess with my son so I plan to bring all the documents my husband needs to sign. I can't wait to be with my hubby. This is going to be the first time my son is going down with me so I hope they hit it off good. They talk on the phone a lot even though my son hardly understands him...LOL

But I can't help but think that it's a good thing I never call the CSC or USCIS. I'd really lose it.

Ok it looks like we got another October filer. This VJ'er says they received NOA2 (I'm assuming the hard copy), but the online system is still not up to date...saying their case is still pending.

he hasn't updated his timeline yet, maybe waiting to confirm this approval. Either way take a look:
