Hello to all,

In September we found out that our appointment has been made in Ciudad Juarez. They told me at that time that they had sent the papers. Well, they never arrived so the other day I called immigration to ask. The man told me that, yes, the papers were sent in September to my home here in Mexico (I don't have a US address because I am living in Mexico) but that he would re-send them. We have received all of the other papers that immigration has sent us, and my husband called the post office here in Mexico, but they don't have our papers. Does anyone know if I can call back and ask immigration to send the papers as certified mail? The man at the post office told my husband that would be the only way to have some control over the mail...for those of you living in Mexico, you know how well it works here. :)

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Cindy

I had this same problem. I filed in Mexico just like you. Our interview was in Feb. 2006 and we found out about our interview the end of DEC. The papers were sent to my address in Mexico and also my address in the US. THey never arrived in Mexico. My grandma sent the ones that arrived in the US via priority mail to me and they never arrived either. So we got to Juarez without the appt. letter. YOu have to have that to do your Medical. We would have missed it because although we were out at 5 in the morning we didnt know that the line to wait for the info window to open is on the other side of the street. Well we waited and waited and we finally got through to the info window at 2 o clock that evening(they are so slow). My husband ould have missed his interwiew because of not completeing his medical if my grandma hadn't scanned and emailed the letter before sending it to me. I paid 70 pesos to print it off there in front of the consulate and switched him places in line so he could get the medical exam. If you have to go to the info window to get a copy of the letter I would recommend lining up early (they start at about 5) and maybe even coming one day earlier

Now that my husband is a citizen, we are preparting documents to apply to bring his parents here.
