Expecting a RFE

Hi guys!

unfortunately, USCIS mailed out a RFE yesterday, which i expect to receive by next week.

I plan to fill up new I-129F and G325A forms (even if they won’t require it) and send it back with the RFE package. My intention is to update my gf's address and employment info. We initially submitted the petition on june and but she changed her address on sept.

My question:

Do you think it’s a good idea to make changes on those forms? Im just nervous that some info (address and employment), which is no longer true, will back fire in the future. However, if i do this, it might lead to confusion and another RFE.

Or should I just leave it alone and wait until the case is forwarded to USEmbassy and call them to give the correct address so appointment letter can be mailed to her. How about our employment info? Should we just let it be or should we do the update?

thanks guys

You're right, if you send them a new form it will cause some confusions. With the address change, that won't be a problem as you can call them up and they will do that over the phone. As far as the employment info that's another story. Maybe someone here can have more insight as what to do with that part.

i wouldn't have done that, filling another form, that might screw up ur application and they might start all over again, let us asume that u dont get any RFE before u get approval, so will u do that, i will advice u to just send them whatever they might ask for, and to make everything go smooth for u,the uscic are bunch of lazy ###, and they re looking for lil mistake to screw someone application.so when the application get to the embassy the beneficiary can make a change about the address, the employment stuff, on the inetrview, date i would have imployed the intending immigrant, to go to the embassy with the previous, employment letter, paystub and current one too that is explicable. so the applicant can explain him/her self bout that. that should not be a problem. employment is mobility.so it is meant to be change at any time, anybody go for good offer of employment.

If you receive an RFE you should provide them with just what they ask for.

Thanks for your posts guys! :-)

oh, i will definitely provide them with what they want. thats for sure but I was just asking if it is beneficial for us to update our infos proactively even if its not being asked.

reading your posts, i think most of you suggests i dont and just send what they ask for and deal with the change of address and employment info later on... hmmm... yeah i think thats a safer move. :-)

thank you everyone.

I'm the non-USC, and I moved while we were waiting for the approval of the I-129f. We waited until we knew my case number and that my petition was at my Consulate, and then my husband emailed the Consulate with the information. It seemed not to be a problem then.
