I want to get Robin a game console for Christmas. He is into RPG games and I like shooters. I hope that we could start playing sports games together. I am totaly ignorent when it comes to what is out there. I have looked at the XBox360 and the PS3. Which one is the best one for the money? And what flavor of each would you recommend?

Xbox 360 is probably the best for those types of games. PS3 doesn't yet have many good games for it.

Xbox 360, definitely. My son is 16 and until recently loved his xbox (now it's more about the girls...)

Sounds like the Xbox is the way to go. There are so many versions of it. The Xbox 360 Elite System Value Bundle,

Xbox 360 Arcade System, Xbox 360 Elite System Console Includes 120GB Hard Drive, Xbox 360 Pro Value Bundle, Xbox 360 Console Halo 3 Special Edition (with HDMI), Xbox 360 Core Console System, Xbox 360 Console Includes 20GB Hard Drive and many others. What is it I really need and what is just extra stuff to bump up the price?

Yeah, I don't have either at the moment, but I would go with the 360 too. Once GTA 4 comes out I might buy one, depending if I have money to spare or not. PS3 is too much money and XBox has Halo

I too am an RPGer and PS3 can play both PS1 and PS2 games so I think it's better value for the money. Sure the X360 has SOME RPG's but not like Final Fantasy etc.

Whoa, crazy game...pretty evil stuff for a Jedi to be doing though, maybe he's a Sith (or at least a "Dark Jedi" like Dooku was).

Sounds awesome, I love Star Wars and so does Tik. I told her we have to watch episodes IV - VI in Thai since I have every line pretty much memorized anyway, hehe.
