Seriously though, how can you stand and push it down, and not sit and push it down?

When it comes to who should put the lid up or down, I look at it like this..

A woman, especially in the middle of the night, will fall IN the bowl if she doesn't realize it's up.

A man, if the lid is down (only the one lid) will pee on the lid and have to wipe it. Not as bad as falling in if you ask me.

You open the lid cause you need to have more room to aim (from my experience not very well at that )

You also need the lid down if you have to poop. So you need it both ways, want your cake and eat it too?

Also, think of it as opening a door for a nice lady, a gentlemanly thing to do.

a) Measure the distance from front of hole to back of hole. If your dude's "stuff" - without bending - can fit within that hole, along with his torso thickness....well, I'm sorry for you.

2) To "bend" while standing up, the guy has to lean way the hell over. It won't actually bend. You just alter your own angle so that it gets close.

e) While sitting, you'd have to put your hands on the floor. and....DAMN that water is cold.

why do we have to put the seat down, why can't women do it?

Ever since my hubby's first wife nagged him to death about putting the seat down he got into the habit of putting the seat down and the lid so she had to lift that before she used the toilet....he still does it which is ok until I get up in the night and go pee in the dark...damn that lid is cold!!

At first I thought he had invented a foot operated flushing devise. That would be a great- especially in public washrooms. Some places have the sensors that flush the toilets automatically but they can be a pain- especially when they go off when you are on the toilet and splash you with toilet water.
