Hi Everyone,

Having one of those "when will it be over?" days here. So sick of this waiting game. All our lives have been spent waiting .... if it wasn't for hospital appointments, chasing people up about medical stuff, waiting for surgeries...I thought that was bad not compared to this process. Sometimes I think to myself....the immigration people are doing this to us on purpose, are they testing our relationship strength or what? We've been apart 6 years is that not long enough!! *deep breath*....'sigh

London has stopped replying to my emails, my last asking if our packet 3 arrived there ok and got attached with our petition. No responce. Normally get one within 3 days I sent the email 6th April. Just wanted a bit of reasurrance :crying:

Andy and I have been talking about what we are gonna do for our wedding and we've looked lots of stuff up but it hurts so much because we cannot do anything right now. We can't plan, we can't buy, we can't prepare. So tired of saying to people we know "yup waiting for the visa....interview will be soon" and them not understanding how its tearing us apart they just waddle on back to their happy little lives with there 2.4 kids. It's been 9 months since we last held hands and all that...we could of had a baby in that time!! Somebody get me a immigration offical dummy so I can knock the ####### out of it.

*don't mean to be so angry....I just need to vent*

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

Fiona... *huge hugs*

You hit the nail on the head with your post! You put into words how we all feel here on VJ who are waiting for the noa2, the packets... the interview... just WAITING WAITING WAITING... it is soooooooooooo frustrating.

I don't mean to be-little ya'lls experience... emotions... or anything...

but how about just NOT focusing on the packet so TOTALLY...

how about ya'll start reading the same book (a book that you both might like... lol), and having a discussion on it... take some of the focus off of the packet... just for a little while. That way you won't feel so frustrated. Just a thought sweetie.

I hope that you know that I am always wanting the best for ya'll.

Will be saying a prayer for ya!

*hugs*

Blessings to ya,

Lynne

Hi Fiona,

Yeah, it gets to you after a while!!

You said that you couldn't plan. What my fiancee and I did during the application period was to research and choose various things related to the wedding. For example, we located a good flower shop, decided on the invitations, created the list of guests, gave them all a heads-up that a definite date would be decided once we got the nod from the embassy, chose the location, chose the attire that we would wear, decided on gifts for attendants, found a cake shop that could do royal icing, etc... While we didn't make any firm reservations for anything, we did talk to the various vendors to find out things like delivery lead times, availability dates for the venue, etc.

Have you looked into what's available in Andy's area? The web is a great thing!!

Hang in there, not long to go now! :D:D

Fingers crossed!

You're so much further along the process than we are (still waiting for NOA2), but I can really only imagine what you're feeling now.

There have been some really great suggestions about planning in the posts above. I know it's goign to be a long while until it actually happens, but I've found myself doing silly things like looking at wedding dresses online.

still, fingers crossed. Hope you get it soon!

Hey Fiona,

I do think it's a big test to us, i really think it. And i know we can't do anything but wait. I had a bad bad bad week, i wanted to give up on everything and become a soccer player in our female team and forget about this, when i thought i had lost my hope we got touched (thrusday) and finnaly got our 2ndNoa yesterday!

You know, i always had faith in something bigger than us, i had always faith in God, but now, i have to have more and try to understand that everything has the right time to happen. Maybe we are on this pain to be prepared to what will come to our lifes and be more prepared to leave everything and go away with our babies.

It's being to me like a long good bye to my family and to my country. I dont know when i'll be able to come here to visit again, because i dont know when i'll be able to work, what kind of job i'll find there, how much money i'll get... I dont know!

You at least speak the same language, and what about me? I'm just one Brasilian (and believe in me, im so proud to be), speaking portuguese, one language that no one wants to learn and lots of blablabla. Yes, i do live in south america, and i dont think the north americans think we are nice or something like that, so i dont know anything.

Anyways Fiona, I'm trying to keep strong, and everyday Bryan and I pray together. I know God does not approve us, it's a man thing, but i know God is holding our hand and helping us to go through it.

try to get this time you are still there in your country, and try to face it like a long good-bye to them... it at least helps me. every time i go out with my cousins, or something, i see things here in São Paulo, parks, hils, trees, birds, i see them like if it was the last time..

Be strong and scream, break things ahaha i do it sometimes... i punch my pillow, i punch everything, i scream, i say bad words so loud, i cry but i am still here, thinking its just one more day, and one day less.

I wish you all the good things and good feelings... Im far from you, but i send from São Paulo everything i can, and i hope you can feel it.

I wrote too much, ok im boring ahah

sorry! If you need, feel free to write to me!

Hugs,

Ana C.
