one way or round trip ticket to US

can we use one way ticket to US ( K-1 / K-2 visas) ? hope it is not a problem for US airport officers

It shouldn't be a problem, we just had this debate a few posts ago. Check with Aeroflot since you are from the same area as us. I got the best deal from them, our area is not the most popular to fly so deals are hard to come by. A round trip ticket is less then a One-Way. You can buy the ticket is America for her and her son and she can pick it up at the local office at Aeroflot. Their is an extra charge of $50. I'm sure it is a bigger savings then to send money through Western Union and there high service charge. I have a favor to ask you too, does your Visa have the same passport numbers on the Visa? We think they placed the old one on ours and trying to find out if it is a mistake? You would be the best help since you just went through the same Embassy.

My fiancee got here last night on a one-way ticket. It's not a problem on any K visa.

The only time I've heard of it being a problem is at the local airport in her home country.

There are big fines if an airline lets someone travel to the USA on a one-way ticket (if they don't have an immigration visa) <~ Sometimes airline personal know all of the last sentence except for what's in parenthesis. I know of a couple people who have had to ask for a supervisor to get an OK to fly on a one way ticket out of some of the smaller FSU airports.

This is true of the former Republic's of Russia, they wont let Oksana out of Kyrgyzstan with a One-way. Kyrgyzstan is a bit easier to get into if your from the US. You can buy the Visa at the airport. Kazakhstan follows the Visa rules almost the same as Russia. Letter, must register and get stamp in passport at some office and so on.......I would plan on a round trip ticket. My local travel agency wouldn't issue Oksana her ticket through them, they have that right now a days. They wouldn't accept the responsiablities of her since she is a forgeiner. Call Aeroflot direct, they have normal flights from the area to Moscow-New York.

thank you all for information about this question,

my american fiance purchased one way ticket on British Airways and i am a little worry about leaving my home land(Kazakhstan), There is not AEROFLOT office here in Almaty, i know it is cheaper than most western aircompanies, British Airways head office in Almaty said to us that they do not have problems to sell me one way tickets to US, only one problem is i think is to leave Kazakhstan , seems like communistic regime still exists on airport rules..i am getting nervious guys..

BUCKEYE, my visas K-1 and K-2 show my present passport number where they are attached , US consulate also gave me two sealed packages to be present and opened by US immigration officer at port of entry

If there is a British Airways office there and they say it is OK then you should be aright for travel. Kazakhstan has a goverentment-Kyrgyzstan has no real working governtment since March 05 and the "Tulip Revolution", it is touch and go everyday. British Airways is a great airliner and they are a bit more in price but worth it!!

I almost forget to Thank You for the information on the Visa numbers. It was nice to get some answers since we both went through Almaty. Good Luck When are you flying to the US? I'm going to Bishkek May 10 and we are leaving together May 14 . I'm glad Oksana found this mistake, they may have not let her go or US agents may have not let her in Thanks Again for your time to look at your Visa and Passport

it is not an issue for uscis at all...sanita had 1 way as had many others....again, have alma checked with a travel angency or airline and remind them she is a citizen and enjoy a discount..we saved about $500 off the ticket.,.good luck...dean
