My wife entered USA on K-1, we married, and followed the AOS guide on VJ, Green-card arrived 4 months later. We live in NY State, no problems.

Keep your expectations low. Don't expect it to be either quick or easy. Is there something specific you're asking about?

If you are going alone with out a lawyer, watch out for illegal questions. When we went to our fist interview and she saw that we did not have a lawyer she asked us a lot of religious question (my husband is Muslim and I'm Christian) which I was told by our current lawyer is totally illegal. Good luck

Thank you, for the advice, if you have any idea of a good lawyer please let me know

I submitted my AOS application in July of this year using an attorney that I had found after much research. She is very good. Her office is located at 83-09 Talbot St., Suite 10 , Kew Gardens , NY 11415 and contact # 718-785-5531. When I submitted the application I was not aware of this web site. The best thing about this attorney is that she offered me the best price quote and she tried her best to make my package as complete as possible. Good luck  with your applications.
