Okay - first let me say I spend hours reading the information on this site, saving things, and making mental notes... and really appreciating the great responses and knowledge and...

... then we start filling in the forms, and my mind goes blank!

So here goes.

1. If my finace was previously married - Where it asks for her name, do we use the name she is going by now (still using her married name) or do we use her Maiden name?

(I am banking on the name she is using now... but, have to be sure!)

2. I fly there in 10 more sleeps (YAY!) at which point we intend to finish up the papers, and send them while I am there. (I am returning home... I will not overstay my planned trip of 2 weeks.)

For the section marked as "If your fiancé(e) is currently in the U.S., complete the following: He or she last arrived as a:(visitor, student, exchange alien, crewman, stowaway, temporary worker, without inspection, etc.) How should we fill this out?

3. How much detail do we need in the "Has your fiancé(e) met and seen you within the two-year period immediately receding the filing of this petition?"?

Now -- this isn't final, so go easy on me :innocent: but I'm thinking something along the lines of "Nicole and I met while gaming online. We made arrangements to meet in person in Montreal,QU Canada in May 2007. She then travelled to my home in XXXXX in July 2007, and I visited her home in XXXXX, Canada in September 2007. Nicole returned to XXXXX in November 2007 for two weeks."

Okay.... That is all for now.

Thank you all in advance - I know answering the same questions must get tedious...

But at the same time - filling in the paperwork correctly is such a huge thing!

You could also provide copies of the stamps in your passport as primary evidence. I didn't have my boarding passes when I filed as I didn't think to keep them but the itinerary, photo's and the copy of the passport was considered good enough.

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

30th April 2010 - Biometrics appointment

Although **shakes can of worms** I still have a couple more...

Re: 2) Visitor.... I have never gotten a Arrival or Departure Record, or an I-94. Is that normal? It asks for the I-94 number, the date of arrival, and the date my authorized stay expires, or will expire...

Should I just put the date I am leaving... or...

4) The G325A - If I have made an attachment for my employment, do I need to print 4 copies of it? (For the 4 pages)

and do you sort that to submitt it? Page 1, attachment, Page 2, attachment..... or Pages 1-4, 4 copies of attachment.

Thank you all.

I am guessing this nervous butterfly feeling is normal....

And the paranoid feeling of screwing up too!

2 for Canada yes. Canadian citizens have a special status, but they are still visitors.

4. You just need to print 1 set of 4 pages for each person and sign each page.

I say yes on the attachment thing. If you have an attachment for one page, you need a copy of it for all the others.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Sign the G-325a in blue ink.... there have been a few cases lately where petitioners have signed in black ink, the sigs WERE origs, but they received an RFE because the service center thought they were copies...

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
