I just noticed that my approval notice for our I129F says 'Valid from 08/14/2007 to 12/13/2007'. And our interview date is on Dec 20th 2007. Is this a problem? Should I be doing anything???

I-130 timeline

03/13/2007 - Sent I-130 to Nebraska Service Center

03/20/2007 - Received NOA1 for I-130 from California Service Center

08/14/2007 - Approved!

I-129F timeline

03/21/2007 - Sent I-129F to Chicago

04/04/2007 - Received NOA1 from MSC

08/14/2007 - Approved!

09/14/2007 - Received by Consulate

10/03/2007 - Delivered Packet3 to Consulate

10/12/2007 - Packet3 acknowledged, received Packet4

12/20/2007 - Interview date

12/23/2007 - POE Chicago

AOS/EAD

01/23/2008 - Sent AOD and EAD applications

01/31/2008 - NOA1 for AOS and EAD

03/07/2008 - Biometrics Appointment

03/22/2008 - Received EAD card in mail

I would not worry about it, Consulates have the power to extend the validity of of the approval notice, and they often do, without any request on your part. You could always email the Consulate asking them, to calm your nerves.

It is usually never required, but you could always submit a request to extend the validity, a sample is on VJ:

we had the same problem. what I did is that I emailed Mumbai embassy explaining this situation (I129F validity expiring) and I specifically asked them if this will be any issue. They replied back saying just one line "Do not worry aobut this, it will not be a problem"..and I had given a copy of this email to my wife when she went for her interview. You could do the same. this way, you have something to show them.. :) if they make any fuss... hope this helps..

9/26/2007 -- NOA 1s for 485 & EAD

10/1/2007 -- biometrics appt letter received

10/13/2007 -- fingerprinting....speed it up guys..

11/28/2007 -- card production ordered - EAD

03/04/2008 -- final interview for greeen card :)

We had the same issue as well and did what Soni has explained above. We did not have any issues.
