When USCIS requests more evidence, does the case process (ie. processing timeline) really start over from the day uscis receives the new evidence??

What have you guys found in your experience?

AOS, EAD, AP sent to Chicago 09/11/07, received 09/13/07

NOA1s for all forms from MSC dated 09/21/07

Biometrics 10/17/07, EAD case status online available

RFE notice letter dated 10/16/07, received 10/20/07

RFE sent out 10/23/07, received by MSC 10/26/07, AOS case status online available

EAD and AP approved!!! 11/20/2007

AOS interview scheduled for 5/9/2008, approved - Green Card production ordered...

I had an rfe for tax stuff but my case was processed in 100days
