Ok. Its me again. I was wondering if I am able to buy the ticket for my fiancee from a online Travel agency. The reason why I ask is because she lives in a very Rural province in the Philippines and the closest Travel Agency is miles away. I found found some pretty cheap flights that fly non stop to Houston from Manila, via China Southern Airlines. Let me know if i am able to buy the ticket online for her. Thanks Again. She actually lives in Butuan City. Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Why not?

As long as she doesn't need anything from you personally when she checks into the flight (ie. credit card verification), there shouldn't be any additional problems. Nowadays people can check in just by showing their passport and/or itinerary at the counter.

I'm not sure what your concern is. You can by an online ticket. Are you worried about e-ticketing or having the paper ticket delivered to her? Be sure to ask what the proceedure is to confirm her flight.

I got my husbands ticket from an agency, but it was an e-ticket. I forwarded him the e-mail the travel agency sent to me. He brought it to the airline office with his ID and visa, confirmed his flight and flew to the US the next day.

I don't know about the procedures of all airlines, but EVA Air checks the credit card at check in on an E-ticket. If its a paper ticket it should be fine, but you want to check how the airline handles e-tickets.

Being not completely familiar with the airline industry, I wondered the same thing myself, but it's really not a problem. I bought her tickets through continental.com, and it was as easy as putting her info (name, passport#) as the passenger for the ticket.

No sweat!!
