Hello everyone,

I have a conditional green card and have filed I-751 to lift the conditions.

I did the biometrics about 3 weeks back and while I am waiting, I was wondering

A.) what is the next step?

B.) How long does it take after the biometric and before the next step?

c.) and if I will hear anything/any updates on the biometrics or anything else.

I will appreciate your help.

Thank you.

Thanks for the answer and sorry for repeating the post!!!

So, just that I can wrap my brain (or whatever remains of it) around it, The next thing I will hear is WHEN the VSC actually PROCESSES my application, and then:

Either I MIGHT be asked for an interview OR

they will inform me that my new GC has been ordered??

Thanks again

You are correct, the only thing you will get in the meantime is a NOA1 receipt letter that will extend your current green-card for 1 year allowing work and travel, you keep that letter wit your expired card when traveling, to re-enter the country.

... most ppl get the NOA1 before the biometrics letter and appointment.... You are also supposed to carry the NOA1/extension letter along with your expired greencard at all times (as you are required to carry proof of your status at all times), not just for travel.

Pls don't give inaccurate advise....

So, Theoretically speaking, if I was required for an INTERVIEW, WHEN would I know. (I know I will receive a letter and instructions and stuff, but I would like to know at what point...after how many days/months after having done Bio and receiving NOA1/extension letter can I expect to receive a call for interview and so having passed that point, I can just take a breath of relief and consider that milestone passed)

Again, Thanks a lot folks for taking time to answer my paranoia!!

I don't think there is a set time or anything... you just have to wait and see....
