my husband had his interview at NEW DELHI. he did not receive the visa because they said our I-134 was not accurate. I used my uncle as our co-sponsor and he is a doctor. his income is over 290,000 dollars, and he is able to support over 20 people. however, they said that they have to have his wife's signature on the same I-134 or or on a separate I-134. they file jointly I AM SHOCKED. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

the WORST PART IS THAT MY AUNT IS OUT OF THE COUNTRY AND WON'T BE BACK FOR 2 MONTHS...SO I CAN'T EVEN GET HER SIGNATURE.

i can have my other uncle's I-134 shipped overnight...but they specifically said they wan't my aunt's.. is there a way i can get this changed. NEW DELHI IS HARASSING PEOPLE.

Good luck with this Neel06, you are in my thoughts... You say that she is gone until December. If she's on holiday (or just away from home) can't the documents be shipped to an address where she is? Surely it would be worth it to try to get the documents signed urgently.

When I asked about the expiration date of the I129F NOA2 (I was worried that the small amount of time it gives wouldn't cover the whole process), Pushbrk kindly told me that the embassy's can and generally do extend the expiration date. If you are worried about it expiring, then you might want to contact the embassy and ask them about their procedure.

Can you not get the papers to your aunt even though she is out of country, have her sign the papers, send them back to you, then you get them back to your husband...?

or, is it possible for you to use a completely different joint sponsor?

Consulate can and will extend the validity of your I129F approval if needed.

Your other option is to speak to the consulate yourself.

This is the second incident in a week where I have read of strange requests out of New Delhi, both involving the tax return or the affidavit of support.

Before I made any contact with them, I would collect my thoughts and calm down. Ask to speak to a supervising officer about your husband's case. Speak clearly, courteously, concisely but with conviction. Do not become emotional or accuse them of harassing people.

I'm thinking there's a new CO on board. Or one who is a hard a$$.

They extend it for K1s all the time when they can't get the interview in. You might want to notify them if it will take that long to get the documents signed. You might also want to ask if you can switch sponsors altogether to your other uncle. Good luck!

That is awful Neel06!

It is true Delhi is famous for harassing people and requesting really ridiculous things. But all you can do at this point is try to provide what they want.

I agree with the others, surely your aunt will have an address somewhere, you can courier her the papers and get them back within a week. Can your uncle call her and get the temp address for you?

Also, there is protocol for extending the approval of I-129F, maybe it is similar for the K3, the link on VJ is here:

Here's a hare-brained suggestion, but you never know...

Perhaps there is a US Consulate in the country where your aunt is. Perhaps she could stop in there, fill out the document, and have them fax it to New Delhi.

Oh Neel, very sorry to hear this. I can't believe that this is possible. This people think that they are God maybe. Wish you to overcome this situation soon. Once your husband come in the USA you will forget quickly this nightmare. Hang in there. You are almost at the final.
