Looks like processing at the speed of light knocked out all the power and they've been in the dark since New Years.

I heard rumors that CSC has had to stop work due to excessive back injuries from this one 12 plus pound file . Have you notoced things slowed up right after that file arrived

What? did you send them your cat along with your file ?

No A certain other filer decided to test how big of a file they could accept. I won't mention her name but she is a November person who filed at CSC Mine was a nice little file . Just the facts. Now the file he brings to Lagos might require a shopping cart if I know him.

Envious of Cali-filers at moment...

egad

I have it on good authority that the slogan above the gates of the California Service Center is 'Abandon hope all ye who enter here'

:P;)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Taking a little trip back through time huh? ;)

Some might say that the "Abandon hope" sign is actually at the state border, but this is only rumor. :D

Not sure how to start this next part of my saga... between Christmas and New Years, both of my boys ended up in two different hospitals here in Austin Texas where we live. Both got out, one doing great - believe it or not he was the one I was most concerned about with a skull fracture. The other, was out and is now back in. Don't want to go into all the detail here about the situation, but I have been using up sick-time (thankfully saved over the years) at work on FMLA, few hours here, some more there, day when necessary... This last time he went in, I called in desparation to the National #, and kept going around the choices as to which button to hit (really not sure how I got to where I did) but I was put into contact with the most wonderful lady you can imagine. I explained the single dad in waiting, trying to juggle all, and crying out for help - she put me on old a minute then filled out an expidite request. I am hard of hearing and explained that I try to do most by email. Wow, got an email telling me to fax supporting document to VSC. I got them together, with a dated statement from the hospital and tried several times on Friday to fax, getting 'check condition of remote fax'. So ran out Saturday morning to Post Office and priority mailed the originals. I have a NOA-1 date of 11-1, so figure mine is fairly close to the top of the stack out there anyway. But what I am amazed about was the compassion that I got. No matter what happens, one lady taking calls at the National line has my deepest thanks and gratitude. I think it is important for all of us to remember that there are humans with feeling on the other side processing our papers. They are going as fast as they can doing the job they have been given to do. Please give them the benefit of the doubt as to processing times - I know we are all anxious to be with the ones we love, but as Thumper had to say "if you can't say nothin good, don't say nothin at all". For whatever circumstances are involved, we all have fallen in love with someone that requires a test of patience by a higher power, the folks processing the paper are doing their best to minimize the duration, but there is still the test we must complete. Nuff said...

Thank you for the "Thumper" quote. I often think that when I am reading posts here. I know we are all lonely, impatient, and frustrated. But that is no reason to take it out on others who are also lonely, impatient and frustrated.

Best wishes for both of your sons. I hope they are able to recover. And you probably are close to the top of the stack, since you are at VSC. If you were at CSC, they probably wouldn't be able to find your petition under the stack of JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER files. :P

I hope you get your expedite and that your sons will be okay.

Yeah, this happens anytime someone who's been waiting for an inordinate amount of time is finally approved. CSC recently finished up a May and a June filer, so the timeline is all sorts of out of kilter now. For right now I wouldn't read anything into it. CSC are being completely unpredictable right now. At their current pace I can expect NOA2 sometime in April, but I don't really think it's going to take that long.

Hey everyone,

Are you getting excited, too ? 60 days already passed since our I-129f arrived at the VSC, and currently, it appears that times to approval are decreasing. My timeline, for example, decreased from mid-May to April 18! Current approvals took around 90 days, sometimes even less, so I'm hopeful to get ours somewhen in March.

Happy waiting to y'all
