I did not see a thread yet started for November Filers. I just wanted to say hello and hopefully our process is swift.

I sent in my I-129F (K-1) today Nov. 5, 2007. I've been lurking on this site now for a few months and it is a great resource and community.

Maybe CSC can speed up now as the rush from filers before the fee hike should start easing.

Hi YES, We filed early to mid November, have heard nothing. money orders not cashed apparently application is in Chicago lock box, so my attorney says. will send k-3 packet at 6 week point (now) asking for prayers.

Welcome and Happy New Year. Hopefully your petition will start getting processed. If you're sending a K-3 packet, then you should make sure to check the K-3 forum for helpful tips and advice as those of us here in the K-1 forum may not be able to help you. Hope you get processed soon!!!

Hello fellow November filers. Sent my I-129F on November 15. Was signed for November 16. Now waiting for the NOA1.

Never in my life have I wanted such a large check to be cashed quickly :P

hi there, this might be a stupid question, but what exactly means "touched"? what do they do? we mailed our paperwork off around nov/dec. this whole thing is very confusing.

When your check is cashed, you get a case number (they print it on the back of the check). You can then create an account online with USCIS. When they do something with your case, the status date changes. That's what a "touch" is. It doesn't tell you what the DID to your file, just that they did SOMETHING. Any time they move the file, or open it, they scan the barcode and the date changes. That's what people are referring to when they say they've been touched.
