A multi-entry, 5 year, Visitors Visa to Vietnam.

Go to the Washington DC Vietnamese Embassy Web Site.

Here's the introduction: http://mienthithucvk.mofa.gov.vn/

It's in Vietnamese Language, but if your wife reads carefully, it also applies to the American husband too. My friend got one!

Very Good Chuck,

One last comment, it's amazing how the travel agent located inside Eden Center (Falls Church, VA) strongly advised my friend NOT attempt to get this visa and it's probably untrue, it's just a rumor........Now, Seeing is Believing!

The Visa exemption fee is like $120 plus, the Visa fee is like $35 per trip.... unless you do lots of traveling back to VN the next 5 years... you do the math :)

Can you please verify the visa fee of "$120 plus"?

It seems like a lot for me.

Thanks!

My friend paid $20usd (twenty) only.

Thank you for your confirmation.

I did check with my travel agent, according to him, he will charge me less $30.00/ticket when purchase ticket without visa.

What I understand so far is the application can be sent either to the Vietnam Embasy in Washington D.C and the Vietnam Consulate in San Francisco.

Is there any different where to send the application?

Thanks again!

Regards!

This would be good if you're planning to do a lot of traveling back there. For me, I'll just pay for the Visa for each time I plan to go back (probably like once every 5 years or so).

Just a matter of clarification - I can see why I need a visa to return to VN with my wife. But, does my wife, with a VN passport and a US grren card =visa need a Visa for her own country ? That strikes me as backward but then ...... maybe it is true.

Just want to confirm the 20 $ would be for me .... or 40 for 2 ?

Thanks -
