Plastic Indians and plastic horses, and of course plastic green army men.

same here...but, in my world the Indians always got into the Fort and kicked the troops in the azz

Mine was famous to circle the wagons and take many scalps.

How do you scalp a green plastic army man? Those things are friggin dangerous. They can penetrate the sole of your foot deeper than a rusty nail.

It's called....imagination and a good pair of moccasins. ;)

lol..same here..

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

You're going to go home today and set up a full scale assault on the living room floor, arent you? :)

For me it was My Little Ponies, my "homemade" care bear (my parents wouldn't shell out that kind of money so my Grandmother made me one), my home made dollhouse, mechano, my flying saucer (for sledding in the winter), and for games it would be Yatzee, Battleship, and ANY card game (Golf, Go fish, etc) but we were NEVER allowed to play on Sunday for some silly reason..

Ahh, I loved my homemade toys. Daddy built me a 'Rocky Lion', somewhat like a rocking horse. He was made of 2x4's, painted yellow, and had a mop mane. I still have that #######. I (L) Rocky Lion.

OMG, the memories on this thread...

Barbies, especially my Malibu Barbie and her camper van

Board games - Hi-ho cherrio, Candyland, Life, Aggravation, Operation

Light-brite

Spirograph

I STILL have my Etch-a-sketch!!!!

My Mrs Beasley doll....going WAY back

Oh, my God! I was reading through these posts - taking a trip down memory lane - pretty much able to guess people's ages with their toys and low and behold - a Mrs. Beasley doll. My favorite. Thanks for sharing. What's even more ironic is that I loved my Barbies too and had a Malibu Barbie and a camper van. I only had it for about an hour when my 3 year old sister decided to ride on it across the room. Needless to say, she didn't make it across the room and I made do with it despite the fact that it only had 1 wheel. And the Spirograph - another interesting story. My mom caught my sister and I playing with the Christmas presents that we found under her bed. The one we chose to play with that day was the Spirograph. That was the last time that I got to play with that. Lite Brite was another - wow, we must have lived next door to each other. Ahhhhh the memories. Thank you for this thread everyone!

Probably my light bright but then I got it taken away for using the pegs to write swear words and forgetting that they were there or to shut it off.

Yea a big nice lit up SH*T right there for mom to see.

My cousin told me to do it.

LMFAO

Ahhhh, the old "cousin made me do it". I tried that with "sister made me do it" but it never worked.

We tried "the cat did it mommy" more than once. It did not work either.

Well it was kind of both of our ideas, but he told me how to spell it.

That is so funny. My son did it too.

I have a son that is 26 years old and also have two daughters ages 8 and 6 (I know, what was I thinking?) so I have seen a lot of toys come and go. The toys today are great but they sure are not what they used to be. Kids today are sure not what they used to be. It takes a lot more for them to be entertained today. I have been reading posts of blocks and cardboard boxes - THOSE were the days!

I wish I had Barbie dolls too.

My mother never let me play with them she felt barbies would give me the wrong idea of what a woman should look like. I had dolls that were anatomically correct. It was kind of creepy.

But I'm almost 30 and about a year ago I went out and actually bought a Barbie doll just to see what the big whoop was about. I'm sure I missed out as a child, but even being an adult I could see the fun in owning one. I actually wanted to go out and get her some new outfits, but I thought that would be taking it too far. She is still with me, she sits on my desk.
