Hi Carrie,

I had my interview this morning and I am approved!! The interview lady asked me when I'm in Montreal until- I said tomorrow and she said we can come pick up my visa tomorrow afternoon! So my husband and I are off to see the sights until then. I'll write a review once I am back. So happy!!

Hi Shaesta,

You don't actually need to provide any more documents, as you said, NVC has all of them.

The only thing you could take in addition is 2 more years of tax returns, if you want (if not no biggie) - if you only submitted one to NVC.

Other than that, you just need to take your express post envelope!

It is quite disheartening to see members who completed NVC in FEB with no Interview dates YET

You don't actually need to provide any more documents, as you said, NVC has all of them.

The only thing you could take in addition is 2 more years of tax returns, if you want (if not no biggie) - if you only submitted one to NVC.

Other than that, you just need to take your express post envelope!

I was confused too about what documents to take, but the NVC did have them all. I just needed a new police check since mine had expired (good for one year). All I ended up using was: appointment letter, passport, 2 photos, medical, police check, and Xpress post envelope. I also brought financial tax info and proof of relationship documents (letters, photos etc) but I did not need them.

Glad they are letting you come back to pick it up...thats the thing we are MOST worried about... our interview is on a Friday, so I dont think there will be that option

We applied for the Cr-1 and most likely, I would be flying out of Seattle to Montreal ( as it is the cheaper way at the moment) We would have no issues staying a couple extra days if it meant I could get my Visa the next day....Any info on this???

The routine has been to return the visa/passport via the Expresspost envelope. It seems that only in the past few months has there been the option to return the next day to pick it up. Totally at the discretion of the Consulate, no guarantees.

Perhaps Shiri and Shaesta will let us know what their experience was this week.
