Well, I just called and the operator said they hadn't scheduled me yet. I asked her if they were done scheduling for February and her response was, "They have not told us they were done scheduling for February as of yet." So... I don't know. I have been checking the Immigration timelines to see if any Canadas have been scheduled for February... I have seen a few K1s that were scheduled before, but have not seen any CR-1s or any new for Montreal yet. That is my hope that they just hadn't called the Embassy in Montreal yet. For the people you saw that they were done scheduling, were they from Canada?

no, they were not from Canada - so maybe we still have hope yet

i am still actually waiting for my case to be complete, but looking at timelines i think it should be complete by tomorrow

well I am off for lunch - I am just happy they are still scheduling!!!

I am also! Best wishes for a case complete and an interview in Feb. I really think it would be cool to be at the interview the same day. So here is to hoping for both of us!

I called yesterday and the operator told me that they were scheduling until Thursday and that I should call on Friday to see if I had an interview. Let's hope we both hear good news within the next few days!

That is wonderful! I mean to know when they are supposed to be done. I am to the point where it seems like I will have a February one, but am scared that I won't. Ya know? My case was completed on 11/20 and then something they already had but processed later (I think it was the email I sent when I mailed in the PCC) bumped my case complete out to 12/1... But I see your case was completed 11/26, so I hope you get good news soon also! So I am guessing that since you and I are both still waiting they must not have called Montreal for the CR-1/IR-1 interviews. So, I see you just celebrated your one year anniversary, were you able to be together for it? I actually was flying back from Montreal on your anniversary. I made a surprise visit there on the 30th of Dec and came back the 2nd. Anyways... good luck to you too! :thumbs:

I know what you mean about being scared that you won't get a Feb. interview! I was hoping to start grad school classes on March. 2 so an early Feb. date would be ideal! If not, I can't start classes until next fall. I am preparing myself for that, though.

At any rate, a February interview date sounds so much better than March! Even Feb. 28 over March 1! Haha.

I did see my husband for our anniversary! I am living with my parents right now (moved in after my mom fell seriously ill; she is pretty well recovered now though) so we went away for 2 nights. It was blissful! Glad to hear you were able to make a surprise visit!

Well, To_Hope, did you get your interview? I called today and the operator told me that I didn't get my interview for February. I sure hope you did. I am a bit bummed.

Well, she didn't say that exactly, but she did say that I was not scheduled for the month of February.

Oh Shiri I'm sorry. That must be so disappointing! I have not received an interview yet, but I just called and the operator (named Mandy) told me that they are scheduling until Friday, so I should call on Monday. I don't know why we got such different information??

I don't know. I have noticed some operators are good and offer information and are upbeat and others... well, aren't. lol I will call back again too.

You get different information because some of them can be bothered to look it up and some can't.

I spoke with an NVC operator once and she was the only one that told me that they hadn't finished scheduling for that month. She explained to me that she had actually looked it up and could see that Montreal had not completed theirs.

Mostly you get someone who looks up NOTHING and just says - after the 2nd week of the month - 'they have completed scheduling for this month, you will need to call back between the X and X of next month to see if an interview has been scheduled'.

WOW! Are you serious? I guess it would be a job for some people. Just for us on the other side of the line, it is our life. Ya know? It is so hard to be separated from my husband. There are so many things happening. Just one of many is that my 15 year old nephew who was diagnosed with cancer two years ago has only been given a few months to live. 2000 miles is such a long distance to hold a relationship. They had problems with their phone line and company, so I can only talk to my husband since Thanksgiving when he calls from a payphone using our calling card. They have been having car problems and then when you mix the weather up there during this time of year... yeah. lol When we flew in there, my husband met me at the airport and we were stuck there until 130am because his fuel pump froze and his dad had to come and get us.

Because of the inconsistancy, I decided to call again and see what they would say. And the man said the same thing to me that he said to to_Hope. That I hadn't been scheduled yet, but that they weren't done scheduling for February and that I should call back at the end of the week or early next week to see if I got better information. Thank you guys for being so supportive throughout this... I know we are all in it together, but it is nice to know that I am not alone in the process.

Life can be so difficult, can't it? Sounds like you are having a really tough season of life. I agree with you about it being so nice to have this forum and to know that we aren't alone.
