First off hes wrong there is no rule about visiting your spouse through the process

However They do have say whether you get across or not and depending on what kind of mood they are in it is possible that they could deny you at any moment. (stupid). I do not think many people end up being denied entry but it does happen to the best of us.

I agree they have a say on whether to let me across or not, unfortunately. I understand that I may get denied if I didn't have proper documentation or for whatever reason. I think he was just trying to get a rise out of me or just being a jerk. I was actually hoping he would send me for a secondary interview, just so I didn't have to deal with him lying to me anymore. Oh well, its over with now and my husband I were able to go to dinner and the movies together.

I've lost track now of how we're updating the timeline. I was approved on Jan. 19 for my CR-1. Am I supposed to update my line on the spreadsheet? Or has someone taken over this role?

Yea after my wife was denied entry 2 years ago before we even started the visa process the border officials told her if she tried to cross again with out strong ties they could ban her for that. Basically scared us into basically me having to do all the traveling to Canada. My wife traveled back and forth ALL the time, and this one time they gave her a really difficult time that was in 2008. She has never tried to come to the US since than. It is kind of sad because of that we say each other ALOT less.

Our interview is on February 14th and my husband will be moving the weekend before. Do we tell them at our interview of our new address ? I checked yes on the DS-230 to apply for my SS card and I don't want to somehow delay getting that. We are also going to have our mail forwarded to our new addy.

As expected, not one issue crossing into the US yesterday. Border guards didn't even want to hear my 'story,' asked me 3 questions and rushed me on through. Makes me more frustrated with 'you're not allowed to cross guy.'

Um you can't be MOVING the WEEKEND before your interview. Border guards are gonna kick your #### and might report ya..and it might affect your interview. You can't ASSUME you're going to be approved until they approve you. I wouldn't try the move.

Not a problem. Montreal will get you to confirm the information on the DS-230 so you can update to the new address then. Good luck.

Yes it is. If you don't get the option to pick a DHL location right away, don't panic. Wait a day or two and log in again. Make sure you don't schedule an interview if you already have one.

Just let them know at the interview and then let the poe know as well. I redid my ds320 to the correct address but I do not think it is needed.

I got a sign in failed a week ago and still no case complete email from the NVC. Is that normal?

When I called the NVC, they gave me the usual line about "We schedule interviews in the second week of the month, so check back in the second half of February." I'm hoping that because they're caught up now, they're actually scheduling interviews during the second week of the month like they always used to say...

I chose permanently immigrate to the US (scheduled by NVC). I don't remember the other selection being there. You can try one, and if it doesn't get you to the DHL registration, you can go back and change it. It isn't set it stone.

I selected the same, maybe the other option is new. Now that I'm looking over the information provided...it says "Specific Application Documents for Canada":

-current letter of employment showing hire date

-monthly bank statement

-property deeds

-evidence which shows purpose of trip

-proof of sufficient funds to cover all expenses while in US

and so on...

Is this all for me to bring to the interview about myself or evidence of employment from my husband?
