Had my medical today. They didn't say whether I passed or not (had it at Medisys), is that normal? I was expecting to be told on the spot, not to have to wait a few days. I'm pretty sure it's fine, but when it comes to all this visa stuff, I over-worry :P

I found everyone at the office to be wonderful except the doctor - she was quite rude, but at least I didn't need to spend much time with her. Everything seemed to go smoothly, and thanks to the summer I spent in China a few years ago my immunizations were all up to date. It only took about an hour, but at the end the doctor told me to "go finish up with the nurse, and then go home", so I waited in the waiting room again. After about half an hour, I asked the receptionist how much longer it would take to see the nurse and she said I was all done and could go home. Confusing, but hopefully everything's good!

Not to worry, if there were any concerns they would have told you.

Good luck next week at your interview.

I have a question! I need to now book my medical, and I will be going to the one in Toronto. It says they require my Birth Certificate. Do they need an original copy of it, or just a photocopy? I will call them to confirm on Monday, but I was wondering if anyone knew! Thank you so very much!

I found their website and here's the link:

http://www.panelphysicians.com/Pages/WhatToBring.htm

I believe it says you need valid identification and that's what you would use it for unless you don't have a driver's license or some alternative ID.

This too shall pass.
