I know it is discouraging but we need to keep having faith that all this will be over eventually.

And, soon this will be just something to remember when times are roughs and will help us appreciate

more our spouses. A lot of the couples that I know take for granted the day to day moments that the spend with their spouses.

So lets be patient (I know is hard) it will be worthed.

I'm not sure, but don't they just do interviews in the morning. It sure would be better if they did them in the afternoon as well. Or one way to speed up the interview process is by just having the CR1 at Montreal and designate another Embassy to do K1, as there is one in Vancouver already.

Don't shoot me K1's for suggesting this. lol

These overlapping immigration departments seem to be very disorganized, duplicating information inconsistently and even offering some of the same services without communicating with each other or making it clear to us how things work. I am very used to it now and have come to expect it after more than a year of wading through this madness!

Wait a second. I never knew of this. On that website you linked right there, it says you need to APPLY for an interview? You do not just get given one after waiting? Please don't tell me I've been waiting two months after the NVC receiving my final forms for nothing. I never read anywhere that you had to apply for an interview at the Montreal Consulate. I thought you were just eventually told a date.

Oh. My God. Please someone help. Please tell me I'm not doing this wrong and I've waited for nothing. I haven't received an RFE yet either. So thats good, right?

(Doing CR-1, DS-230 + rest of stuff August 25th. They received it August 27th)

You haven't waited for nothing and you aren't doing anything wrong. For IR1/CR1 cases we still wait for an assigned interview date from the consulate and there's nothing you can do to move it along faster. The K1's can now schedule their own interview dates via the website after they are told to do so and the CR1/IR1's can change their interview date if need be via the website, but that's it.

Oh my gosh. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how hard it has been to be at work waiting for an answer. You have given me the most brightest news. Thank you VERY much. My heart can now be at a HUGE ease. T___T

Had my CR1 interview in Montreal on Thursday, October 28. Visa was approved. But I am still waiting for my visa to show up!! It's already three business days since my interview. Meanwhile, everything is packed, and I am sitting here with all my boxes, and the movers are waiting to be given the go ahead to come pick up my things. But I have no idea when the visa would arrive. It is already three business days!! DHL can't tell me anything because I was never given a waybill or tracking number. Calling that CSC line was useless. They said keep checking the website, and I said, I was told the website takes a few days to update and usually people get the call from DHL even BEFORE they see the website update that their visa has arrived and is ready for pickup. This is TERRIBLE!!!! :bonk:
