I tried to reschedule our interview because we'd rather be on a Monday or Friday so we don't have to take so many days off work, and it told me that the first available interview was January 2011. Was anyone able to change their interview date with the new "online" system??

Also, is the closest DHL location to Windsor really London? That seems a little bit nuts!

It seems as though they have changed the process for getting your passport back to you. Instead of turning in a prepaid envelope, you now have to pick the nearest DHL location from the web site and they courier it there.

Seems like a major pain to me, especially since the nearest DHL location to Windsor is 1 1/2 hours away!

Am I correct on this change?

Unbelievable November 3rd....:dance::dance::dance: How do I book a medical with no email...?:help:

Congrats, jadenjewel! Your interview is just a few days after mine (btw, my dh called DoS and got confirmation that the date we picked via the new system, Oct. 28, is for real).

If you're looking to book your medical in Vancouver, I can confirm that you CAN book online without having the official email yet. You will need the letter on the date of the actual exam, but you can go ahead and book now. You just need your interview date and case number.

Btw, they only do medicals in Vancouver on Wednesdays. Mine's on the 20th...Maybe I'll see you there?

C.

P.S. I'm still pregnant! This baby had better hurry up...because, as someone noted, if I have to reschedule again it looks like we're looking at January now (though even that's a whole lot better than what would have happened, I think, if the new scheduling system hadn't come in!)

\Yup you are correct you need to sign up for the closest location..(for me is approx an hour drive away..and I dont have a car) No envelope is used anymore just sign up for DHL and yes what a pain in the butt but you get your visa quick :)

Congrats to all who have gotten interviews...mine is just days away. Medical was a breeze, had mine done in Montreal yesterday was there about two hours in total...could have been less but had to wait twenty minutes after my vaccine, Hubby will be joining me in Montreal on Saturday...I am so excited

God is our strength, He is with us at all times
