I've gone to visit quite a few times...the border agent said once the I-130 is approved and goes to NVC then I'd be inadmissible

.....I know what you're saying..did you maintain visiting up until your consular processing?

Hi, yes I visited right up to that same month. I visited and left about two weeks or so before my interview in Mtl. The main thing is showing, if they ask for it, that you have strong ties and are prepared to leave. I wouldn't offer them too much information, but make sure you answer all their questions at the border, and answer truthfully. But why give out a bunch of information you don't need to throw out if they don't ask for it.

I also think Canada and the US enjoy good relations and there aren't that many Canadians jumping the border. You're going through the proper channels so you should be fine. Also if you are denied for any reason, it has no bearing on your petition and visa. However, you will be asked that during your interview and you could just tell them. I was asked but had never been denied. Others have posted they were denied but it wasn't an issue, just have to answer at the interview.

You'll be fine.

Best of luck.

Also, I was wondering how everyone got EXACT dates as to when the case was completed at NVC?

We got sign in failed and the NVC confirmed were waiting for the interview date, but i was wondering where i could find out the exact date it was approved?

Also, when can i book my medical appointment? Do i have to wait to have my interview date or i can do it before?

I used the date that login failed for my NVC complete date. No you can not book your medical until you have an interview date. Welcome to the waiting game.....

We got an email from the NVC on our "Case Complete" date that said:

Dear Sir/Madam:

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.

One of the many, many things that annoy me about this process is that SOME people get that email and some people don't! I didn't.

I would hope everyone gets one! I think after waiting all this time if I didn't have that email I'd be calling them non- stop to make sure they hadn't forgotten us. That's how it feels at this point with no interview date as of yet! 83 days and counting ....

Hopefully someone will have an interview soon out of the group of us waiting :)!!!!!

No more counting for me, it just brings out the depression and lack of hope for now. I am really still trying to hope to hear something soon, I mean If i dont hear something soon then it will be more then likely a Nov date and i think that would be BULLcrap. I really do hope that they catch up on everybody soon :P

I've called them many, many times...and had the congresswoman and senator check on the case. They always confirm that I'm in line for an interview, etc. But I never did get that "case complete" email.

I didn't get the email either. When I called the NVC, they said they don't send out an email when the case is completed. Maybe this is only for people who did electronic filing like zenaxe? I really don't know. All I know is that the AVR system says my case is complete, and all the NVC operators I have talked to over the past 2-3 months confirm (after looking at the screen) that my case is complete . . . and that "everything is set to go!"

Well, it has been 14 weeks since my case completed . . . hopefully all the "May" people will hear soon . . . perhaps the week after Labor Day? LOL! Ha ha . . . hope that would be so . . . we've waited far too long . . . :bonk:

Cheers,

petshop

You had to call them and give them your e-mails when the NVC first got your case. (If I recall right there was a very small window to catch and call them to do EP) So basically you had to be doing the Electronic Processing to get that e-mail.

I too did EP and got the e-mail :)
