I am done with thinking about Montreal and interview dates. the heck with that. I may take a NO computer break for a week or so. I am getting depressed with each passing day.

Yeah, this is really starting to suck. We were seeing 70-90 DTI for awhile there, and then suddenly this huge backlog and barely a single interview scheduled for 2 months. I wonder if this is seasonal. If we had stats for multiple years to look at, maybe we would find out that this always happens every summer.

The worst part is that we've got people with NVC complete in June who are disappointed, but most of the May people are still waiting! Not to mention 2 people from late April are still waiting. The worrisome part: does this mean us June folks are gonna get bumped to November? I was optimistic on Monday and now I'm depressed too.

Montreal is notoriously slow and this really confirms that things are at a serious crawl. It seems the last reasonable turn around was for us April completions. May and onward are stuck and waiting. I'm sorry you guys are on hold in this rut for the time being. I'm wondering about the summer vacation situation hitting staffing levels and workload at the consulate. There were staff members that retired that were asked to come back to help out. It's possible that things will speed up in September when the majority of vacationing staff will be back, at least that's my theory. It sucks and it's completely out of people's hands - what can you do?

Talked to NVC late last night . . . FWIW, according to the operator I spoke with the Montreal September interviews are all set (I didn't make the "cut" - I'm a June 28 "case complete").

Same here. Spoke to NVC yesterday evening. No September interview for June 4 case complete.

I think the April completes got lucky with their quick interview dates (we would have been one of those if we hadn't gotten the RFE). Looking at the history, is seems the average wait for an interview date is 3 months so I wasn't expecting to hear anything until September with an interview date in October. That being said, if we don't get an October date, I will be joining the ranting!

Kaya I feel your pain. I was suppose to case complete april 5th but instead case completed May 18th due to a complication. So it is three months now of waiting and more to come I am sure. I am not sure how much more of this i can take. No, as far as I can tell No September Cr-1 interviews have been scheduled. Which sucks but i will make a rant after September 1st as there is still some time in august. You never know

You cannot do aos if you are already married. Secondly you already have a case on going, there is nothing you can do but wait it out. although i wish i had done it that way, I came for a visit and we got married, I could have stayed and just did the aos but I had legal matters to deal with in canada to do with my son. I hate the wait, there should be a "oh you've waited to long, You are approved due to the Long wait" clause.:)

Then we all would get approved and live happily ever after :P

Canadian redneck, if you talk to an immigration atty, they can advise what you can do if you happen to find yourself in the US visiting your spouse and the "30-60-90 day rule" in applying for AOS.
