IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview

Ha !! My day are flying because I"m preparing my house to list on the market so it's been a steady few weeks of selling, purging, cleaning, shredding blah blah blah, almost there, I'm hoping to list it this week. I also head out to Arizona to see my wife !! at the end of the week for two weeks so that'll be great. By the time I come back home I'll be about two weeks away from interview day !! So it's moving quickly for me given the tasks at hand.

The days really have gone by quickly. I can't believe our interview is Wednesday! We did much the same as you zenaxe, we sold our home too, so that was a process and making the new one home has also been a process. Our situation is different than most folks here in that I see my husband everyday because we live just across the border from one another. So I have been making our home "our home", even though I technically don't live there yet!!

Why have no August interview dates been assigned yet?? I'm soo anxious!! Hoping for late August or Early September but I'm not confident if NO ONE has an August date schedule yet!!

I'm totally stressing too, because if I don't get an August date I'll simply be too pregnant and won't be able to make it to Mtl! But, if this month is like last month (which, no guarantees that it will be), it's still early for IR1/CR1 date assignment. I believe that July interviews were (mostly) assigned around May 27. So I'll start REALLY stressing next week.

Still no date. Sigh.

Kind of frustrating how DCF applications seem to be trapped in some black hole in the consulate. Getting a tad frustrated that there is not even an avenue for recourse, nobody to contact, etc.

Supposed to be visiting US for a wedding in 2 weeks, was hoping to at least have an interview date to present to CBP so they let me through.

I too am hoping for an August interview, I have noticed while browsing that there is some August interviews already scheduled...look like it was K-1's that were schedule...there is still hope...Good luck everyone

I think K-1s always/ often get scheduled days or weeks ahead of the CR1/IR1s.

I also noticed last month that there were no CR1/IR1 interviews in the first part of the month. Maybe that was because of early July holiday time for staff? Or do they just plain only do interviews in the second half of the month?

I can only hope that August is treated as a regular working month at the consulate. I know in some workplaces not much gets done in the whole month of August...

I am not in a good mood about all this...and I know most of the rest of you aren't either!

Maybe this is a crazy idea... but has anyone thought of using something like Google Docs?

If you follow that link you'll need a free Google account. Then you can create spreadsheets and share them and invite others to collaborate. Then there's one clean, up-to-date document that is always up-to-date, and only the people invited can modify it, but anyone can view it.

The one we have been copy-and-pasting works, but if anyone likes the idea of Google Docs, we could give it a try. It might have some nice features, like sorting by different columns.

This has been suggested a few times, last year someone actually transferred the data on to a google spreadsheet if I remember correctly.

Personally I like being able to see the info right here - but that's just me. If one of you wants to transfer/maintain a google spreadsheet that's cool, but I will still maintain this one

This thread is really about that timeline, I am wondering if maybe we should start a separate thread for CR1/IR1 chat? bwoo you are right that the spreadsheet updates disrupt the flow of conversation in this thread, so maybe someone else would want to start another one?
