IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview

Well so far, as per this list, there is only one May interview. All the May interviewing is likely in the books now I would think. I appreciate interviews aren't only VJ people and even with VJ people they may or may not be added to the big list. But I'm a little surprised there aren't a few more names on the May side of things given the mid April scheduling.

So it looks like they are running three months behind for interviews. Bleh.

Don't you hate reading those posts from other countries that only have to wait a month, when you know we are looking at a minimum of 3 months? Blech.

Exactly! Well, not hate, but I definitely have interview envy! :lol: It also irks me that other embassies post their interview schedules but Montreal - who is the closest embassy (I think) to the States, doesn't.

I am new to all of this but here is my timeline.

I mailed in the DCF I-130 to Toronto Consulate. March 01, they received it and requested for me to send in the fee as well (I thought it was submitted in person). So I sent that in, they confirmed and just told me that I have a appoinment on May 28th, to come in person and get this process started.

My wife is a Born US citizen, she is residing with me as a PR in Canada right now.

I put your "submitted I-130 date as March 1st, please post your dates in this thread as you move through the process. Good luck!

You may also want to read the thread on domicile, it's pinned at the top of the Canada forum. It's quite long so you may just want to read the first few pages then skip to the last page to read reviews, updates etc. Good luck!
